I was so excited when I read '0% Variable FVF on 5 New Listings' and then…. :(

    • +1

The activation link works, I wonder if it applies to existing sellers too. I've got to make a sale to test it.

      • Works for me, thanks OP!

    • +4

Please to report - I activated the promo, sold something that technically doesn't meet the Terms yet didn't get charged any FVF :)

      • Had you sold stuff In the last 12 months prior to activating this deal?

        • Yes - sold plenty of items.

      • So not a fashion item but no FVF? Thanks

        • +1

Correct - sold an angle grinder.

          • +2

@Free Fall: Has the offer disappeared from your side? It's no longer visible on any of my accounts so I wonder if they reversed it after realising the error.

Only managed to sell two items, nooooo!

            • @[Deactivated]: Still showing as 2 sold, 3 left !

            • @[Deactivated]: It’s been removed from mine as well. Got one item sold. Not sure if it was removed before or after sale :/

              • @zerog101: It got removed when it ticked over midnight on 3rd for me, check the payment section, it'll tell you whether any fee was removed?

                • @[Deactivated]: Sold item about 8pm 3 May and didnt pay any fees. so i hope i have 4 left. fingers crossed

  • +1

have not sold any items on eBay in the last 12 months

The link worked for me. It's showing up in the Seller Hub 0/5. Have sold a few things in the last 12 months. Not a store.

    • +9

Whether they actually charge you the fee or not is a different story however. Same thing happened few months back and they ended up charging anyway despite being able to accept the promo.

      • Wow that s totally misleading. Did you complain to CS?

  • Was able to activate on my usual in full use eBay too and it's showing the 0/5 counter- will be interesting to see if it works
@remember to screenshot the activation page folks, it helps a lot when contacting CS if fees charged

  • Surely if it activates for you, and it's in the app, that should be enough proof with screenshots. Thanks so much OP!

  • Thanks, hopefully I sell stuff 😂

  • +1

So no $25 cap just to be clear? I've accepted the offer and need to sell items for $800 - $1000

    • Yeah same!

  • Well it appears to work but I've sold a bunch lately. I very much doubt any future fees will be waived but we'll see.

    • Promotion has disappeared from the selling dashboard now :(

  • +1

Following to see if this works for existing sellers

  • Confirming working on all 5 (plus/non store) accounts, all of which have sold items for in passing months.

This is beyond awesome, thank you!

    • Sold anything yet after activation?

      • +2

Nah not yet, gonna max out all 25 listings when I get home tonight.

Just signed in at time of posting to activate the deals, was expecting none/only some to work so was surprised it all worked.

  • +8

am getting "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only." so targetted I guess

    • Damn they fixed it. I forgot to activate it on all my accounts 😭

      • Has any exiting seller actually sold anything yet though ?

    • Same here.

    • Unfortunately, …

  • +3

And again, "Aircraft" is an excluded category. sigh. Been keeping my fleet for ages waiting for a promotion

    • +2

Would have been good for Bonza too

      • hahaha…good one

  • Not working on my two accounts. So no regular promotion for other sellers this month?

  • Works on my new account perfect now to sell some stuff thanks op

  • Is this for fashion category items only?

    • +1

I posted two different promotions on this deal, please see respective T&Cs in the description.

  • "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only." … uh, come again??

  • Does anyone know whether 50% postage is still a thing for plus members?

  • No dice for me :(

  • Has anybody created a brand new account and had it activated? I already have 2, wondering if it's worth getting another for this.

  • Thanks, worked on my partner's account who hasn't sold anything for over a year

  • Guys, you might wanna be cautious:

In T&C: The Promotion runs from 00:01 (AEDT) on Wednesday 1 May to 23:59 (AEDT) on Sunday 30 June 2024 (“Promotion Period”).

On promo offer summary: This offer is effective as of 03/05/2024 12:00:00 AM

    On My eBay > Selling/Sold: Start:1 May 2024 at 3:12 AEST

That's what it says for me at least, I'd like to think T&C trumps it, but just FYI.

  • What's with eBay lately? I'm trying to sell some things and not having any luck - some DVDs, blu-rays, PC games, all reasonably priced. Been up for like 4 months now and no sales.

    • +1

spend a few bucks on promoted listings 😜

    • The market is working fine and functioning as it would, clearly it is evident that the market have zero appetite for whatever it is that your selling.

    • Sometimes eBay buries your listings - its a good idea to check they are searchable from another browser as a guest

  • eBay bulk labels have been glitchy for me for the last 2 months now… What did they do to break it?

    • Same can’t do more then 1 label via bulk. Haven’t been able to on 2 of my accounts. Knowing ebay they will fix it in 6-9 months

    • same

  • +2

Says I've accepted, but doesn't show up in my seller hub. Weird

    • Yep same here. It was in my Seller Hub on the 1st May cause I got a screenshot, but now it's not there any more. I was already cautious, because it let me accept the offer despite the fact that I've sold many items in the last 12 months, so there was a chance it wasn't going to work anyway.

  • hey are we eligible to sell electronic in the 1st deal

  • how to you guys have more than one account? can you have another account with same name and info?

  • To anyone who had activated both this and the May Plus promo, and sold an item: which promo applied first?

  • Can anyone confirm if there are no fees if selling overseas?

    • There are fees if sold Overseas. I've paid about $18 for my last sale.

      • Thanks for confirming! What was the value of the sale?

  • The promo has disappeared from my dashboard, however when I click the activation link again, it says I've already accepted it. Has anyone sold anything to confirm whether the promo still works?

What F piece of SHIT eBay is, those satanists are eternally money hungry.
    Never enough.

I'm a long time seller, highly rated, sell mostly high value items (crazy to do on eBay, don't do it) only when i get promos no fvf etc. So, because of scammers that buy, don't pay, want it lostedto some pobox, overseas etc. i had to cancel few sales last year and (surprise, surprise) what you select as cancelling reason also affects your performance standard. There's no such option to cancel due to scam. Because of that for more then 8 months i wasn't able to accept any offers, now i was and I've accepted it, thought my account got back to positive as ebay told me that they can't do nothing about it (another surprise surprise, 💩 you can't, don't want to) that only thing left for me is to wait until some time passes and my account will get back to positive on its own or make sales and it will (over my dead body am i paying your overblown fees) get back to positive.

    DON'T SELL ANYTHING ON EBAY!!!

LET THEM F DIE ALREADY, IT'S LONG OVERDUE!

    • Do you know I use the 1 x 0% FVF offer and a buyer accepted my counter-offer,
but did not pay for the item,… then, can I cancel that sell, and make a new listing,
so that I can get the 0% FVF again ?

I'm wondering if eBay counts me as having used up their selling promo offer,
and I think this buyer that I have is being tricky because they didn't like my counter-offer.

      • +1

Believe it only counts once payment has been made

      • if a sale has been made (even if buyer accepted the offer), then I think it will count towards the limit regardless if payment is made or not

        • Well, in my case, buyer and I, had a few exchanges making offers,
making counter-offers, until the buyer settled on my 3rd counter-offer.

The offer was final, the sale was binding, and I had a $17 postage fee,
but the buyer wanted to pay ca$h and pick-up the item.

I marked the item as Sold, but noticed the $17 postage fee,
so I messaged eBay support and said, that I needed to remove the postage fee
but new eBay systems do not allow me to re-invoice the buyer.

eBay support said not to worry about it, and said that eBay won't deduct fees either,
because the buyer didn't use the eBay's payment systems nor the QR code service.

I also confirmed that this transaction, had used up the 1-out-of-1 promo of the 0% FVF offer.

  • Does anyone know if there is a maximum weight for the free shipping label for the fashion promo? Thanks

  • Just remember it has to be listed under Fashion category, its not just any category.

  • Can i place my Gaming PC in the fashion section lolz

    • +1

      Uniqlo T-shirt + i7 RTX 4090 Gaming PC. $3000 Buy it now.

      • So my fashionable PC doesnt't qualify? I could dress it up more if need be lolz 😆

  • Good evening all!

Ive sold a couple things on eBay, and have been an eBay Plus member for a year or so. We used to get notifications of listing offers under My eBay, but I have noticed that for a long time that I would have to come to ozbargains to find a listing offer. Has anyone noticed the same?
Is there a offer for reduced/free listings for June 2024?

    • +1

It looks like this offer was for May and June. It started on May 1st and ends June 30.

I only get promos through email and OZB. Almost never through through the eBay website.

      • Thank you. I appreciate your reply.

  • +1

Is there any June 1 free selling offer (the usual that capped at $25) for existing account? Can't find it when I searched

    • +1

Couldn't find it either. What a rort for ebay plus members.

  • +1

    Nothing for July?

I got some impulse purchases I need to get rid of.

    • +1

Probably not much incentive from Ebay as financial year just ended.
