$49 heater and $400 a quarter to run during winter..

    • I mean, it's got a thermostat, so if you set it to something sane it won't be running at 2000W the entire time…

Honest question, what exists to warm up some cold air in a room faster?

      • A heat pump aircon

        • I'm not in a position to install reverse cycle in my house :(

      • I bought a Rinnai Granada LPG heater for $100 off marketplace and got some bits and pieces from the BBQ section at Bunnings to connect it to a 9kg has bottle.

Costs about $20 to get refilled (could be $10 if you're dodgy) and lasts about 40 hours on low, (about 50c a hour) and still gets too hot for my large room.

        • Thats a very helpful tip for people who live in an alley

    • $400 a quarter?

      I pay about $1/kw so if left on that's about $50 a day (or $4500 a quarter).

$1 a kWh for domestic power sounds extraordinarily high.

  • I bought one and it arrived today - good size, heats up quickly, and handy remote control.. good deal - thanks OP!

  • Still in stock btw. Just ordered, got for $46.40 with onepass membership. Also got about 6.5% extra off, 3.5% CB with CR gift card and 3% shopback cashback.

Overall seems like a solid deal for a good size heater, beats some of the portable heater deals out there at the moment. thanks OP
