In answer to your question, a friend who got home tired, took out a Schmacko for her dog, a muesli bar for herself, sat down and yes, bit the item in the wrong hand :)
She confirmed it tastes disgusting :P

Unfortunately one of our dogs can't eat them (or the vast majority of the doggy snacks at the supermarkets)- anything at all cereal based and he's puking everywhere for days.
I only tend to buy the chicken schmakos for our other little fella, so given that these are free, might try him on the fish. I wouldn't normally buy them in case he didn't eat them - he tends to be a bit fussy. Thanks OP

The straps contain fish. One of my cats wasn't interested but the other loves them as a treat.
