I have this and have heard the motion boom plus. This is like 80-85% of the way there tbh compared to the motion boom plus. The biggest advantage this has is the weight and portability (2.6kgs on the MB+ vs 1kg).
Pound for pound the greatest speaker
30 watt vs 80 watt
I have this, it's great
Have one, really good
Keep in mind anyone that plans to buy it, out of the box they sound bad. They excel once you download the app and play around with the EQ and thr sound profile will be saved on the speakers
Yes get it. Had two for a few years now. Excellent.
Have the speaker LOVE IT
Bit of a newbie question ,how would this compare to my Google nest speakers ,apart from the portability,I see you can join two to make stereo,
Was thinking
One of my uses could be for our outdoor alfresco area (4mx4m) ,Bluetooth them up to Google TV box and cheap soniq TV for a cheap and cheerful set up ,for some bbq tunes and Netflix and sports
Bought this a year ago and returned it. Even after EQ'ing it using Allan Ross' EQ, I found it lacked bass. Got JBL Charge 5 from GG Commercial for $134 and really happy with that. I bought a Bose SoundLink Flex for my dad and that too sounds a lot better than the Motion+. Each to their own, this is just my preference. For $99, this is a good deal though.
If this is even half as good as the motion boom plus then I say cop. The motion boom plus is an absolute unit of a speaker, very impressed with Anker's portable speakers after that.
