Any idea of the BBD? last time i bought they only had a couple of month left

  • For the 5% that haven't heard about wood milk:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4klWmwC2ds

  • Says Usually dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks

Best barista oat milk I’ve had so far.

    • It's pretty good. Have you tried the Aldi barrista version? Very good imo. But both use canola which isn't ideal from my pov.

      • Not a fan of the Aldi barista version and for some reason, I struggle to get steam it correctly vs this or Oatly (could be my bad technique though) and get good microfoam consistency

        • I usually get very good microfoam with the ALDI but it needs to be shaken well before pouring.

          • @bargainshooter: Exactly the same for me, I get very good foam but needs to be shaken very well.

            I also like the taste.

I’m nearly through my s&s Vitasoy case from a previous deal and it has a light flavour and average microfoam but overall pretty good.

I think I do prefer the Aldi barista though.

Might give this one a try too.

  • Last time I ordered had a BBD of less than 2 weeks. Should I order 1 or 2?

    • Was that via Amazon Warehouse?

      • Yup sure it was. I just complained about the expiry as it was unlikely for me to finish up 6 l in 2 weeks and they did what they do best 😀

I just had a carton delivered on Sunday as part of my S&S, BBD date of 04/07/24.

  • Thanks OP

It’s not in the Woolies catalogue that I can see

These are 99c each at Coco’s Annerley (Brisbane) at the moment. Most likely short dated.

    • Already beyond Best Before date, which was end of last month.

    • Yep, got one today because I want to try oat milk. Best before 19.03.24. Made in Spain.

  • How does this compare to "Minor Figures Organic Oat Milk" which seems really watered down compared to "barista bro" brand

    • If I do not have Oatly then this will be my second choice. This is priced almost half the price of an oatly carton from Costco. So definitely worth getting this deal.

      • Have you tried the "barista brothers Oat" one?

        • Sorry I have never heard of barista brothers oat. I have seen barista Bruce in woolworths but never bothered trying new brand as I found Oatly Barista perfect for my taste.

    • +3

Minor figures was one of the worst milk I have tried for coffee.

    • +2

This is one of my top choices for oat milk, minor figures is the worst tbh

      • minor figures is the worst tbh

The worst of the "better ones" - there are plenty worse.

        • In terms of price, minor figures is the worst value for its taste. Vitasoy oat milk is superior and more affordable.

    • +2

Far superior to minor figures imo

  • Went to 3 Woolies. None on the shelf. Very small shelf space compared to other oat milks at all stores.

  • How does this compare to milk lab oat milk, does any one know?

    • This one taste creamier compared to Milk Lab, if I couldn’t get this, that’s my 2nd choice. Although, Alternative Dairy Co is great too, but expensive.

      • Alt Dairy is my preferred. I'm lucky to have a friend with a cafe who hooks me up with a wholesale rate. Might give this a go just to compare - these are ever so slightly cheaper.

  • The first few times I tried this oat milk I was impressed - it steamed well and was really smooth.

Lately, every time I open a new one the first drink is good, then the next day it won't steam. It's like it goes from good to bad within a day or two in the fridge.

Same thing experienced with an electronic milk frother, I ran some tests.

I'm not buying this brand any longer. Is it because of the short date? Or the Spanish one is inferior? I don't know but I'm not wasting time and money figuring it out.

    Oatly doesn't have this issue!

  • Look into the Dipotassium Phosphate..not good!
