Shopback has $12 cashback on the $35 SIM but I don't see the code listed (cashback most likely not applicable) .

If the code is not listed it means the cashback will not be honoured?

    • From Shopback site

"This Cashback deal is not valid together with:

-Any Gift Card, Voucher or store credit purchase
-Other store deals unless otherwise stated
-Vouchers or Promo codes not featured on our platform"

Apparently the last deal that s posted similar to this, they said no cashback

      • +2

Correct. I asked Shopback and this is what they told me.

    • $12 CB added in SB Boost yay!

      • It has always been there. The problem is that there is no code listed, which means - no cashback!

        • Ah… I see what you mean 😭

    Need for Boost Sims.

Cashrewards are listing this code, but only a $3.50 cashback:
    https://www.cashrewards.com.au/store/boost-mobile

(it's odd seeing my CR balance down at zero, no worthwhile rewards since Jan, what changed?) :(

Same here, it's been so long since i used them that they even targeted me for a bonus $5 cashback with min $10 spend last week.

(it's odd seeing my CR balance down at zero, no worthwhile rewards since Jan, what changed?) :(

Same here, i've been using SB more lately as they seem to have better rates. They also advertised $7 CB on something and it tracked as $14. Win for me

  • What does it mean by having to activate by 29/4? Does that mean if I activate after, I only get 25GB instead of 45GB?

    I’m ready for the negs.

The 100% cashbacks with profit deals were ruined by the desperados on here. The first round of deals were hammered to death by them. The deals stopped for a while. Then came back for another round and same thing, they were hammered to death on here.
Now they’re virtually gone or your address has been banned for delivery from boost. Strangely, this also applies to anyone who uses the address for an online order from boost.

I assume the same desperados on here will complain when they can’t use any deals on here due to not having a new mobile number.

    • I won't neg you, however, the blame needs to lie with either Boost marketing for ever offering a "for profit" plan, or with upper management for setting marketing commissions and targets so high that "for profit" deals made sense.

The way the deals were structured, it was a magnet for "desperados" , and if Boost were silly enough to allow someone to buy 35 sims per CR account, then its hard to blame people for milking that. Eventually the Boost bean counters were always going to catch up and put a stop to this

For years, Lebara regularly has $4 deals in supermarkets - I assume they make nothing from this and the profits all lie with the supermarkets but they attract new paying members and is why it is still regularly offered..I am sure Boost could have offered very low first month cost plans and hammered the market that way instead, and they would have improved their churn rate by attracting at least semi legitimate customers, but here we are.

    • The law-of-the-jungle lives here too…take it too-far & it may becomes greed/poison 🤔

      I'm paying ~$12/m for 100Gb of data via Lebara's bonus-data (Coles periodic IN-store discount) for mobile & home-internet: saving-heap from NO-NBN…dirt-cheap imo !

But I see all the excitement of free & profit via ShopBack-deals & wonder what happen when OzBargainers don't get their money back after 120days & the process (& time) they need to go through (& proof) to chase ShopBack…anyone, feel free to share your experience.

Can @gotyourback add the code "BOOST12" to shopback page if it was intentional to allow the discount payment of $12 using the code and a cashback of $12 for shopback members rendering the deal to be free data?

  • anyone has experience hard to activate lebara for sim jumper? i need to activate over the phone and the staff so hard to reach, most of the time has to wait 60 minutes to talk with someone. the chat no one response for over 1 hr

    • Try Lebara's online activation-> https://my.lebara.com.au/activation/activate ?

In the budget mobile service (say $9 for 70Gb 30d plan ) there's is little profit & labour is expensive, even in Fiji. Staff are thrown in the deep end, under-trained & under resource (your long wait time). Be gentle & kind ?

  • I'm on my last boost sim, it's my monthly data sim that's either free or a bit of cashback. I hope the 100% cb comes back :(

  • or as of right now, just go buy it online or in-store from Officeworks for the same price… (unknown for how long)

    $12 - https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/boost-mobi…

Woolworths also doing it slightly more for $15 (until 30th Apr)

    • Better off buying online for the same price and rolling the dice with the $12 SB cashback being approved on top.

      • Hopefully for those that tried in which case great deal, but SB don't have the greatest track record approving claims and or changing the rate when they feel like it…

  • The boost website is now allowing me to buy the sim. Used to get the something went wrong.

  • First time boost user. Recently, activated a prepaid boost Sim I bought a while ago. Instead of recharging, is it allowed to buy a new boost Sim and porting number? I assume yes that's why so popular.

shopback gone to $15 today I check and now boost site is $15 no code required. I think its now free data no profit for those waiting for the next one, have no time to put another post up.
