It's an EPG service for your PVR/Computer.. It replaces the programming guide that the networks provide with a much more accurate and verbose descriptions of upcoming shows.. I believe you can also schedule recordings from your iphone/etc if you're not at home..
Is it worth $49/year.. Depends how badly you rely on free to air to make it worthwhile..
It's an alternative electronic program guide for live-to-air tv that also has some remote scheduling/recording features for use via smartphones. I used IceTV for about 2 years and was relatively happy with it however I've since switched to the Freeview EPG (i.e. that transmitted with the tv signal) and while it's nowhere near as good at picking whether a show is new or keeping series together it's much more accurate for time.
Basically a over glorified EPG…..

Don't know why people bother. Unless I am a couch potato,. I would not bother. $99/ year subscription is just plain ridiculous. Sorry, just my 2 cents only.
Ha, yes agree here. I wouldn't pay for a program guide of any nature. $/ waste.
