Temple & Webster: 20% Cashback (Was up to 3.25%, $50 Cap) @ ShopBack

360

Good flash cashback increase from ShopBack at 4pm today. Biggest I could find posted on Ozbargain. Just cancelled my previous order as regular cashback seems to flip between 3-8%. Enjoy!

  • Anyone shopped here before and got any feedback? Skeptical about online shopping when it comes to furniture :(

    • +1

They are very good, from the quality to the service. I bought many times and never have any issues.

      • Thanks! Quality on par to IKEA or better?

        • +1

Definitely better than IKEA but also definitely more expensive.

          • @kiriakoz: I concur. I've bought an entertainment unit last year and last month a coffee and side table. All good and no drama.

            • @Trishool: I bought an office chair (paid for by work) a few years ago and loved it. Since then, I’ve bought a coffee table.

I agree the quality is excellent and the higher price is worth it - you get what you pay for.

    • Bought an office chair which is absolute garbage that I can't even give away.
My advice is to never buy something like that without physically sitting in it first even if you have to pay more.
I left an honest review on their website without being as scathing as I could've. Of course it never appeared. I will never deal with them again.

  • The quality is good but it is a case of you get what you pay for. The more expensive items are better quality.
As for customer service, I did not have a good experience with them and the items were dispatched from a warehouse that is 10 minutes from me, and it took 2 weeks to arrive. really odd.

Fvck trashbacks etc. wish stores would just give a simple 20% off and id be more inclined to continue to shop with them

    • +3

Completely agree, would even prefer a 15% discount over 20% cashbacks

      • I you are spending a smaller amount like $150 or $250 (which this cashback deal is only good for) there are other promos, like a $25 credit for referrer and $25 referee, which maybe different than the referral link on Ozbargain as this lists $30/$10 , plus if you order for.a first time there is a $20 bonus that expires in a month. Im also guessing if you access the website for the first time there may also be a special deal.

Its a shame that Shopback is very much hit and miss these days.

Found another deal. "Want $20 off your order?* Download our mobile App and use code 20APP"

        • All of those deals that I found were $199 minimum order, so not always useful

          • @lars06: The $20 bonus is minimum spend of $150. But you may need to make a purchase to obtain the code.

A good chunk of their stuff looks to be straight from Alibaba. Eg check the wall clocks. Some crazy markup (but they’re all doing it).

    • They operate a drop ship model, so similar to eBay they are marketplace where wall clock makers can sell via Ali express or temple Webster and shop directly to the customer who orders.

      TW becomes the middleman effectively

  • Who owns them? Hope it's not Harry or kogan 👀

    • Pretty sure they're asx listed (ASX:TPW)

I can see a banner for the promotion in the app though the store itself still says up to 3.25%?

    • I had the same thing. Shows correctly on the website so I purchased through there. Seems to be a mistake on the app

      • Thanks, I ended up purchasing via the mobile website.

  • Good quality items from here, never had an issue. My only problem is having to use ShopBack has been very hit and miss over the last couple of months. Had a massive Myer order that conveniently didn’t track, but of course all my smaller order the weeks before and after did. Missed out on over $100 Cashback.

    • same here!

  • Overprice nonsense. Same bar chair they rebrand and sell, you can get the exact same design on ebay for way cheaper
