Come on Brisbane to Osaka Aug/Sept 😂😂

    • Is this a possibility?

      • Doubt it, for some reason Sept hasn’t had any discounts for the last 5 months, unless I’ve missed a week here or there

Before people jump in and rightly say that July and August in Tokyo are oppressively hot and humid, I hear Sapporo, Hokkaido is nice in summer.

    • And here's me who booked flights to Delhi next week without looking at the weather, 44 degrees!

    • 10 hr stopover is a bit harsh. Or do they provide hotel like emirates??
Nicer to unwind a bit in tokyo or osaka first. I wonder if I can split the flight

Really want to go to Fukuoka and checkout the coastal areas around Shimane.
Also pop over to Pusan for some delicious food.

How can this be compared with Qantas? ANA is way better than Qantas. Qantas should be embarrassed of itself for its declining values.

      whats Qantas?

    • -1

Flew Qantas this year on their Haneda service, wasn't as bad as people make out. They served two full meals, full drink service and the IFE and seats were in order.

I did have one issue, when they ran out of Hot breakfasts, but the purser went into to PE and got me an upgraded breakfast. Service on NH and JL is going to be higher but QF isn't as bad as people make out.

The value with this NH deal is that you get a Domestic Japanese flight included. The advantage with the QF deal is you get a Domestic Australian connection virtually included (sans a small price difference)

Haven’t you read the news about Qantas? Haven’t you noticed Qantas plunges in rating from 5 to 17? And the way they treated their employees? Good that they upgraded your breakfast, but I see it as the attendant’s good initiative rather than credit to the airline. The fact that they didn’t have enough in the first place tells me there is something wrong. They are not properly organised. My last experience with Qantas wasn’t pleasant, 3 seats we were on were dirty, tablet for IFE wasn’t working, tiny serving of meals.

    perth when?

They haven’t announced their direct Tokyo-Perth flights for the 2024-2025 season yet, but they’re coming apparently. Hoping to spend some velocity points on reward seats for Tokyo direct.

      • inside sources says the same period - Oct24~Apr25. you did not hear this from me.

      • What’s the price expected to be for these? I’m looking at waiting for the release of these for a trip in Jan.

  • Hey OP/rep… Can you do me a deal for travel Sydney to Tokyo for end of Dec, return mid Jan?

Feel free to pm me… Cheers

    • Need December/January deals too Mel to Tokyo 😅

  • Daughter going to Fukuoka in June, so timely. Then look at flight times which must have 10-12 hours waiting for connecting flights and Singapore airlines at almost double gets appealing.

  • Air conditioning is everywhere but set at a high temperature on trains in restaurants and offices/ stores. It's a sweat fest Tokyo in summer as minimums are regularly around 30C. Max temperature last summer was 40C in Tokyo. Not pleasant if queuing for a restaurant place ( many places can reserve a table). Just returned and it was like a sauna at Narita T2 lining up at 7 pm to exchange e-ticket for Keisei skyliner. (Tip. There are 2 Skyliner offices and only 1 exchanges etickets.

  • Ooh, what's good to do in Tokyo in summer? It's pretty hot, but travelled to Japan a couple of times and would like to go again.
