they could have made this simple, but this is too chaotic for me

Anniversary Collection Bundle (101 Movies) $99.99

    Can I pay cash?

    • Your joke didn't land

      • -4

        what joke?

  • +6

Owning a copy or temporary license until the content is rotated out?

  • -2

Literally the same movies available for free for premium YouTube account holders. Typical apple !

    • +5

YouTube Premium is a streaming subscription, this is a purchase of the movies

      • -1

this is a purchase of the movies

Apparently, you don't own them according to Apple…

    • -1

      People pay for YouTube?

  • Is it really a ‘crazy deal’ though? I reckon there’s about 3 movies in there I would actually pay for, so that works out to be $33.33 per movie; not really much of a bargain for most people I would say.

    • +2

Getting 101 movies for $100 is a crazy deal but you might not want the movies doesn't mean it isn't a good deal if you do want the movies

      • you might not want the movies doesn't mean it isn't a good deal

        yes, it does mean that…

that's why there is a voting system for the deal.

So far, 2 out of 300 people who viewed the post think it is a 'good deal'… (that includes the OP though)

        • +2

Just because you don't want something doesn't mean it isn't a good deal for the people who want it

          • -2

@DonkeyFromShrek: Just because a small number of other people think it's a good deal, does not mean it is a good deal…

So far 0.6% of people viewing this deal have voted that it is a good… 99.4% have not voted that it is a good deal.

        • I think it’s a good deal and I didn’t vote

          • -1

            @XCOM v2: That is untrue

  • I am going to pass on this as I already have the good ones.

    Thanks for posting.

Thankyou - now at least I have a record for when itunes removes one or more of them from my account due to licensing issues…. Still going to give it a go though - thanks OP.

      • How many movies have been removed from your Apple account?

    • Probably an error on my end fixed

  • I already own 43 of these movies, purchased when iTunes dropped the price to $4.99 each for a short time at some point over the past 10 years. If this has been available 10years ago at this price I would have grabbed it and saved some money.

There's actually a lot of good flicks in there which would make it worth it. Unfortunately I have not been able to open my library in my Apple TV app on my LG TV for months. Logged in fine, just showing a blank library of my purchases. Apart from reinstalling the app which I've done numerous times, Apple don't have an answer for me.

    • I know you've reinstalled the app numerous times. But have you tried resetting the TV to factory default and then reinstalling the app?. Resetting the TV to factory default sets everything to factory default settings just like as it came from the factory which can eliminate install and app problems. That's what I would have tried if I was you.

I wonder how many of those movies Bill Collins had a review and intro for

    • +1

Ah, Mr Movies! Watched many (most?) of the listed films on Network Ten on Saturday nights in the ‘80s on the (48cm?) National Quintrix, occasionally snoozing on Dad’s lap halfway through the second b&w classic after the main feature. Staying up late (and having coffee!) was a cherished weekly privilege :)

  • Lots of great movies there.
