Original Coupon Deal
Even better than its earlier deal (i.e $357 which has expired now..)
Good for cars which require a larger screen. This one is 10.1 inches with nearly everything that you would like to see in a unit..

This is more likely the hardware in the headunit than it is android itself - I made a longer post below explaining this but the specs of these units can vary quite heavily whilst looking the exact same as each other. At 6gb of ram and a SD655 this should perform quite well and also comes with android auto and car play.
Isn't Android Auto just an app? Goes on almost any phone or tablet.
That's like saying you bought an Ozbargain Nokia from Coles and the Android experience is subpar so therefore people should avoid Samsung.
It's Android. Use it's best feature which is customisation. Literally install a launcher designed for car usage, plenty around.
Boot up time for these are 2 seconds. I doubt your phone interfacing with your choice of system can ever beat that.
There's no way this would boot up cold in 2 secs surely?
I have an identical unit but different reseller.
It has a low power sleep mode or something, so it is ready use instantly when the car is turned on.
It will Occasionally do a full boot, but that is quite rare.
@Cinnamon Crunch: Okay but that's not booting up, that's just waking up. I've got a 4 year old Dasaita that does the same - I've got it set for 10 minute period after engine is off. I doubt it's going to be good for your battery to keep it on for extended periods
I try to say this every time I see one of these headunits up - they are a cookie cutter design, sometimes with an oem replica fascia on the front, but the internals are the same across the board - be it Eonon, Xtrons or any other brand of a similar nature. Thats not to say its a bad thing, but something worth keeping in mind, the real differences are price and customer service, eonon is good for this in my experience. If you want to avoid the fluff and save some coin you can buy these units from Ali express and other direct-to-market chinese sales sites, but that comes at the cost of customer service and shipping times.
Secondly, if you have any intention of using carplay or AA make sure you opt for a model with at least 4gb of ram - this has 6gb so thats good, but there are still legacy models being sold as new that have 2gb of ram and although surface stuff works, android auto and car play will stutter and lag quite heavily, as well as some GPS apps and what not.
This one looks like a solid buy, just thought I would throw in some advice if you are in the market for one of these. Their capability far exceeds the likes of pioneer and alpine because its essentially an android tablet with a skin in a different body, you can even crack/root them if you want and many come prerooted to allow for cracked versions of paid GPS apps, you can also easily install OBD monitoring software, netflix etc etc, but this comes at the cost of lower quality control measures and less than adequate english instructions for install, if you buy a brand/model specific version they usually come with an adapter loom that makes install easy enough.
Ive done a whole heap of these in lots of different vehicles with all kinds of additional accessories from 360 cameras to digital tv antennas so feel free to inbox me if you had any questions about it as I have done a whole heap of research on these.
This is great advice thanks. I didn't realise they were effectively Ali Express stuff. I just bought the "Eonon Android 13 Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Car Stereo, Octa Core 6GB RAM +64GB ROM Car Radio, 9 Inch QLED Touchscreen Car Stereo Receiver, Compatible with Mazda 3 (2010-2013)- M3BLA12S" and would love any advice you have had with this one. I will be putting into a Mazda 3 2011 SP25
If you are DIYing it make sure that the one you bought came with an adapter loom too, that means its an in and out swap and no soldiering needed, the most difficulty you will have is wiring the reverse camera if you don't already have one, SP25 model needed the luxury pack ticked for the colour screen option in the center upper display for a reverse camera.. When running the camera cable start from the boot and work your way towards the stereo as the plug into the stereo will be smaller than the Camera to pass through tight areas like the loom grommet in the tailgate.
I would recommend looking up some YouTube Videos of installing the unit in your car to get a rough idea of what you have to do.
Do you have some blog or forum where you share your wealth of knowledge?
I have thought about doing a youtube channel with this sort of stuff but when you spend your 9-5 talking and playing with cars its hard to jerry up the effort after work too, if there was a way to gauge demand and monetise the whole thing I would go full steam but the unknown is scary and I don't know if I want to be at the whim of the YT algorithm either..
Fair enough…
@cristtos: As I said I am more than happy to help via message until I pull my finger out and do something about it :P
Do it!

Can confirm, bought 2 head unit last year from AliExpress and it looks exactly the same as the one from OP. You can also find Facial Kits to match your car, but make sure to purchase the correct side if the centre console is not symmetrical.
I am tempted to get this one as 4/64 should be enough but it's got a Cortex A7.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/256396529682
Some tips on how to find the adapers would be handy if you have any as the same unit with the adapter is minimum $350 for my Outback.
The same guys that sell the headunits usually have the loom adapters. The cortex a7 is pretty average so i would probably steer clear unless bottom dollar is your ultimate goal, you could try inboxing the seller and seeing what they say, they may have the looms in stock.. I would be surprised if they didn't.
Also I don't have the time to sift through that advert fully, but at that price point theres bound to be some other cost cutting, I did notice that its not a HD screen, although very rare to get anything higher than 720p, the one linked is 1024x600 - this is the sort of cost cutting you will see at this price point, that wont be the only thing either at $125..
1 s boot time, this is impressive (if true), my old onice takes like 45 s
Bought a TEYES unit off AliExpress for roughly the same price. Use it for CarPlay and it works perfectly.
+1 for TEYES , looks integrated with OEM kit , and works perfectly . Australian support availbale and you can order from Aus website
Had 2 of them both failed under 12 months. Now have ATOTO F7WE cheaper and better. Thats my experience.
Anyone had any experience with EKIY on Aliexpress? Seem like a TEYES clone at a better price point with a good ecosystem of accessories
I've had one of these types of android tablet-ish headunits before. At the end of the day, regular android is not designed for a car context. Longer boot times, lots of updates, slows down over time, needs constant dedicate internet, flaky functionality, etc. You're better off with carplay/android auto and allow your personal device be up and ready when you get into your car.
