Saw this deal on the app, testing the link that I shared with the app seems to show the same price for me.

This is the best price I've seen so far for this processor. Hopefully it comes in sturdy packaging that doesn't get any of the pins bent!

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

You can definitely trust a store named "Comet Crash" 🤔

I have ordered one in the last sales (came down to $194 usd ~ less than $300 aud). Happy to update once received .

  • Shows $296 for me: https://i.imgur.com/L77CK7q.png but I just bought a 5700X non-3d and I don't really trust this listing…

      That doesn't include tax

    • 1000+ sold and over 98% positive feedback, so the store is reviewed well at least.

Ah true, I didn't really mean the listing itself, more that it's from China. My experience with AliExpress so far hasn't been great, they say they re-reimburse items that weren't shipped in 10 days with $1 but it's been 16 days now and that shipping promise is based on a shipping estimate which the store just changes anyway so it never reaches it. Then there's the fact that they charged 55% GST…

      • AliExpress often deletes low scores.
I closed my account with them for this purpose, couple of times I gave 3 stars as the products did "okay" but broke after a couple of weeks, weren't terribly cheap and took ages to arrive. IMHO this was a fair score but had them first beg me to make it 5 stars, and then have my review deleted anyway….

also note that the 5700X3D are most likely binned and reclocked 5800X3D (so 2 year old generation - don't believe the "2024" release date)

Not a bad deal. For all the pearl clutchers out there, just received a 5700X that i bought from the aptly named "cp u store" and it's working perfectly. Paid about $115USD inc GST after applying one of the anniversary sale coupons. Was sent by "Quantium Hong Kong".

    • I was looking at this store as well, any idea how warranty works. ? (If it even comes with it, I couldn't see anything mentioned)

I've bought and sold many PCs in my time and have never once had a CPU fail. Once I even dropped an i5 2500 into my bathtub while i was cleaning old thermal paste off of it, even with a bent corner, it still worked perfectly.

I assume warranty will be difficult if I ever need it, but for the discount, well worth the risk.

I bit. Ordered just now. Will see what actual arrives in the mail.

Just need to find a decent deal on a replacement for my RX 480 now. Or hodl to see what the RX 8000 series looks like.

    • Used rtx3000 series are pretty cheap nowadays. Soon to be two generations out of date but depends what your expectations are I guess.

Thanks for the reply, I am self limited to AMD cards though. I only run Linux on my machines and do not want to deal with Nvidia driver issues. AMD cards have basically zero issues on Linux (at least I haven't had any issues with them).

I was thinking maybe an RX 6700-6800 kind of card, going back a similar time frame, but they aren't really much cheaper than the 7000 series. And nothing close to the value the RX 480 provided at the time.

    • HODL ofc

  • Shows as AU$330.08 for me after adding to cart and having GST calculated, last Metrocom deal was $350 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/831031 so price seems legit

  • They’ve got the Ryzen 7700 for $291 atm https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005727055572.html?gps-id…

    • Remember that's pre-GST, so approx. $320 total.
