Yup, it’s a listing error by Amazon. You’d only get Boom 3. Expect other colours to be $149 as Amazon is price matching third party seller on Catch
Bought on one of the other "deals". Didn't get the megaboom. Amazon wouldn't swap. Just returned it
Over hyped product, poor sound quality, 6 years old tech, I don't understand why the rave? Tons of recent JBL are better.
I prefer JBL too, all my BT speakers are JBL. But some people prefer UE.
I bought it 5 years ago for $130 to compare with the Charge 4 at the time. I sold the megaboom soon after.
I bought one too and returned it, it's not bad, just not the sound I wanted. I have 3 Charge 5s
I still use my original UE Boom when they were sold like 10 years ago. I think they're good value and have a sturdy design at least. I also prefer the design of this versus the JBL ones.

Yeah my UE Boom 2 is an indestructible brick, have had it for ages, how it still functions is beyond me.
I wouldn't mind an upgrade but the thing won't die lol
Ever since I bought my JBL Charge 3 many years ago, I'm 100% team JBL. Amazing sound quality.
I understand it, all in the wording tbh. 6 year old tech = established, it works and people know the brand. They are built like brick shithouses(seriously mine gets absolutely belted) so on the off chance people need to replace it they just buy the same one cause they know itll withstand the neglect, plus most people don't need a speaker to sound the best it can, think dance teachers, buskers and kids at the beach etc. For the demographic they are selling to the requirements don't go much beyond loud and colourful.
Personally for me, the speaker that wins is the speaker that has a lanyard or strap built in lol.

I wonder how many people are holding off or changing brands for USB-c. I could do with an upgrade cause I currently have to balance my charger on a book to get the speaker to change - standard microb crap. I refuse to deal with that again with my new speaker.. They did this with the wonderboom 3 as well I don't understand it.
While I love my Megabooms the lack of USBC does suck.

Yep, same deal and the battery in mine went to shit shortly after (around 12 months after purchasing).
Yeah I got mine then, mega boom 3 has worse bass compared to original mega boom, but I just have them in the car for camping trips, charge while driving
