Good deal, but why are they dragging the chain making 27" monitors in 1920x1080? I can't see the point in paying extra for size without getting any real desktop space unless you're using it as a tv?

If this is in reference to quality by pixel count then look at a 1440P screen next to a 1080P the difference is minimal.
Why do they push 27" 1080P… Because 1080P is no longer new tech and screens are very quick to pick up as opposed to potential supply chain issues with greater resolutions and potential for reliability issues for newer tech. Then there's price point, 1080P has become the norm and so the market is saturated by competition not only in the consumer market but also the supplier market.
I was referring to the fact that the 2 most important things to me at least when picking a monitor are the desktop space and the ability to see entire hi res photos without scaling. I get the feeling that if ppl were more educated between the relationship between res and size they'd probably be less of these sold.
