This. Magnatec isnt really any good, youre just paying for the brand. Also magnatec is API SN while the nulon apex oil is SP, newer formula/standard.
API SP is great, especially for those picky Direct Injection + turbo engines.

Strictly speaking it's not the correct spec.
5w-30 Euro would meet the VW 504.00/507.00 preferred spec and knock your change interval down to 10k km/1yr at most.
502.00/505.00 will also do the job.
Having said that, I'm about to put Magnatec full synth stop/start in the Alltrack because I have 10 litres available. It won't kill it.

The Stop Start is a marketing gimmick.
I bought it because I needed oil for the kid's Honda and it was cheap (ish). Where possible I do stick to the mfr's recommendation.
The user manual for my 2017 Mazda 3 BN says it needs oil grade API SL/SM/SN or ILSAC GF-III/GF-IV/GF-V. Am I correct in assuming API SP and GF-6A will be backwards compatible?
Penrite states both standards are backwards compatible.
