These are airflow fans, so it’s good for case intake but not good for cooler. And bear in mind that the bearings have some issues at certain RPM which creates some bad noises. Not to mention that the packaging of Arctic fans is so cheap (thanks to EU “environmental protection”) that could have caused damage to the bearing during transport. If you get them please make sure to test them in different RPM. If noticing any issues coming from the bearing, ask for a replacement.

Does this apply to 140mm in general? I'm using 140mm fans on my 240mm rad to reduce fan noise; should I swap them for 120mm fans?
it is the blade shape, not the size.
P = pressure fans (IMO should be used for everything)
F = air flow fans (IMO completely useless except for the single rear exhaust)
I have 4 of these running and can confirm there appear to be some ranges of RPM that have a whining sound. Full speed though is perfectly fine (which I use for my application anyway) and they're quite quiet - and they seem to move a truckload of air. Very good value, IMO.
Bearing noise is very real at certain RPM. I think it was around 1000-1100RPM.
The P14 PWM PST is what you want to look at. F Series is meh in comparison and not that much more in $$.
I upped the deal before I saw that they were the F series. I've been using the P series on my radiator and case and they've been great and really quiet

These fans are loud. Replaced them with Noctuas.
Do these fans actually make a difference? I’ve always just kept what came with my case.
Probably makes no practical difference, maybe a bit quieter.
F series is optimised for air flow, they are good as case fans (free air flow).
P series is optimised for static pressure, they are good for CPU coolers (blowing on to things).
I have 12cm version of both F and P fans, they are not noticeably noisy, I would imagine 14cm is ever quieter.

Plain is a bonus. The RGB trend is an aesthetic abomination and needs to stop. In my totally unqualified grumpy old man opinion, of course.
RGB is objectively ugly as implemented on 99.99% of cases.
If you are in Sydney you might as well pay $5 more and get the P14 x 5 pack $49 from Scorptec pickup.

Even with shipping it's cheaper than when I bought it 1 month ago. 1 was faulty out of the box…
I have these but I’m not a fan myself :P They are incredibly loud when they ramp up.
