inb4 Aldi posts on their Facebook page that this has been recalled.

Can't make sure enough - each outlet, 240V and the USB, so 10 of them in total, can be controlled and monitored separately, right?

So the app on a phone shows 10 different switches and 10 readings?

1 device and then when you tap into that device, you would see the different options and readings.

I think only the 240V outlets are controllable. Because it says "outlets"

vs USB ports. I think USB is always on.

I picked one up the other week, you can only control the single 240v point… It's a nice enough board but no, doesn't let you individually manage the points… The hunt continues…

      • Yes my thoughts as well

Just to confirm - you're stating that only one of the six 240v outlets can be controlled?

Ability to monitor energy and remotely control all outlets via Wi Fi

        Interesting…

        @nebakke and @chrisie

You could always try and see if you can source one of these as it says it can individually control 4 sockets independent via the app.

        https://www.ikuu.com.au/product/powerboard/

I have a few of the Ikuu GPO sockets which were supplied by a local lighting shop in Melbourne and cover indoors and outdoors and all are individually controllable via the app.

        • Thanks :)

      • Try the tp-link tapo p300.

Individually controlled outlets via the app. 1x usb-c and 2 usb- a.

Pricey at rrp $69 but has 5 year warranty.

    • It only provides data for the board as a whole, not each plug. I got one hoping it would provide individual control and monitoring but kept it anyway. Tuya app is a little dodgy but does the job most of the time. The board seems to be decent quality.

      Thanks for all the replies.

Looks like you can monitor and switch on/off the entire board, not individual devices connected to it.

I'm pretty sure it's useful to some, but also useless to many.

"Let me check how much energy my: TV, soundbar, console, fan and battery charger are consuming altogether right now!"

  • Does this have mounts underneath?

Have one of these from a month or so ago
Good quality compared with a Blaupunkt from Coles where sockets all non-contact making
Good quality build, Wifi - but unlike my Lemovo Powerboard, you can NOT switch individual sockets on/off You can only read power for entire powerboard, and switch entire powerboard on/off
Ust noticed this is only 6 sockets the one I bought in February was 8 outlets

    • "noticed this is only 6 sockets the one I bought in February was 8 outlets"

      Shrinkflation @ work :)

  • Due to unruly feline activities in my house, I now need these to come with a plastic shield/cover. Anyone has ideals as to where might I find some? Either that or I need to buy an old school cabinet.

The Kogan one I picked up some time ago, unfortunately seems to be the only decent choice for individually controlled sockets, happy to hear of any other options.

    • link?

        • ta, will look those up

      • Ugh, I thought I had linked to the actual product, but it seems different.
Can't find it anymore, thiswas mine.

For those looking for a board that can have sockets individually controlled, look at this

This is the Oz version and not the NZ version as per a couple of my earlier comments. To be honest, I think they are the same either way.

I'm not saying they are the cheapest of things but if its a specific use case, then sometimes you have to drop the cash. (I was quoted $130 for one).
