Integrity Warranty Did Not Cover Replacement of Engine Mounts

Yesterday, I went to do car maintenance as usual, mechanic found the engine mount needs to be replaced.

Integrity authorized car repairer submitted all the required documents to them, with no surprising, Integrity rejected it again (I have been rejected 2 times before with different issues, integrity giving the different rejection reasons). This time, I was told engine mount belongs to rubbers (excluded part), which supports the suspension system.

To be fair & honest, in the exclusion clauses, Integrity does not state it clearly that under rubbers, what exactly parts are excluded. Integrity tries the best to avoid any claims and take advantage of innocent warranty buyers. When we need the warranty, it’s covered with nothing.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL BUYING THIS WARRANTY, MAKE SURE YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT EXACTLY EXCLUDED.

Furthermore, don't trust their Internal Disputes Officer, it seems that he tries to help you to work it out. However, each evidence he asked from you, he will try the best to find the weakness of the evidence, then find any excuse to reject your claims. Before dealing with them, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU GIVE TO THEM FIRST.

CAN YOU REPEAT THAT? I CAN’T HEAR YOU OVER THE NOISE.

Why did you waste 2 precious days to post this doozy after creating your burner? I'm seriously disappointed.

    • I feel for the repairer, instead of changing out an engine mount, they had to spend an hour doing paperwork and chasing the customer's third party payment process which results in a denied claim.

Few mounts are tha expensive, and require time on the hoist. Some may take more effort to remove and replace, but an hour on the hoist would see most complete. If the bill were sub $200 this is more than a waste of time for everyone involved, and now us(!).

Consumers need to start reading the fine print and making an effort to interpret it the way an insurer would before falling for one of the many scams a lot pof business people like placing in front of us.

Consumers need to start reading the fine print and making an effort to interpret it the way an insurer would

It's not the job of consumers to "interpret" fine print with the aim to read it like an insurer would. It is the job of the consumer, however, to read the fine print - period. And if it's not in black and white, get it written down in black and white.

        • Not sure about the legal definition.

But IMHO how a provider interprets the fine print they write and require the consumer to agree to is all that counts when it comes to asking them to pay for things related to the service or product.

All used car warranties are garbage.

So much this. The post should read "Don't buy any used car warranty EVER!!!1111.

not good, waste $4000 with nothing, and spend extra $1000 for the repair, almost 50% value of the used car now

      • Your car was $4000 or the warranty was $4000?

        • +1

          1+1=2

          • @Duckie2hh: $1000 repair is only 25% though and not almost 50%

            • @mapax: I assume they meant $4000+$1000…

So almost 50% is $5000, meaning the car was around $10000

I've never heard of one of those extended warranty companies ever paying out.

    • I know of a couple of people that made extended warranty claims and they were successful, but most of the stories I’ve heard aren’t that lucky.

    • Ive had one successful claim. Replaced the head lf a RAV4 as it was smoking on startup. Fairly common fault apparently.

However, not long after car developed a misfire. Cost $250ish to diagnose a fault which i repaired at well below their quote but that did not solve the issue. Eventually they found an earth wire not connected, i suspect not reinstalled after the head job.

        after the head job.

        😲

        • +2

That is apparently what you have to do in order to have a successful aftermarket warranty claim.
