LG 23.8" IPS screen, FHD (1920 x 1080) at 100Hz for $99 delivered (with Prime). I believe could be the same offer at GoodGuys (Amazon probably price matching).

LG Specs: https://www.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-24mr400-b

For less than $100 seems a good deal for second monitor for a laptop for student work and light gaming and I wanted an IPS not VA monitor.

RRP is $139 but according to camels was $118 previously, so still saving another $19 at the moment.

The 27" version is only $139 if you need something slightly bigger.

Edit: With Prime it said my delivery was going to be mid april, which I was OK with. However it was actually delivered yesterday. (In Perth).. Hopefully others are also getting it quicker.

This goes on sale at amazon for $99 usually once a month or so.
For anyone who may be on the fence, you've got plenty of opportunities now and in the future

It was $99 on amazon just a week ago

Have a slightly older model of this (though 75hz) and can say they're adequately 'fine' for general use. Contrast and brightness aren't great. For 'I just need a basic monitor to check emails and go on facebook' for your parents, it'll do. (If it IS for your parents, the 27" may be better for readability though!)

  • want basically this spec but 1440p

    OOS? I'm seeing $159.

    • I still see it currently for $99.

Would this is fine pair with a 42 inch oled.

    • damn why so harsh on grammar, but seriously a 24 inch set horizontally fits perfectly with a 42inch, saw this monitor few days ago on amazon and wondering if anyone has try it.

They've done a click-n-collect order and this post reminded them to pick it up.

It'll do just fine. Any larger and you'd want to go for a 1440p panel anyway (27" is the sweet spot for 1440p).

    • +2

It will not do. Only 4K 32" high FPS allowed for RL, sorry. You'll need this one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/837403

  • VESA too nice

I got this recently, VA not IPS but not much different if you are not viewing from an angle. It has HDMI and DP connection.

    • Great buy if you've got a Umart local. Also the MSI has 113% sRGB overage, vs 95% on the LG. Also brighter (300 nits vs 200).
