  • silly question, maybe. do these have a 'runway' flashing style pattern in the themes?

  • Thanks O.P

If the controller is too irritating, I'll simply cut it off connect a esp32 or equivalent that is laying around the house, install WLED & have proper control over it.

    • That sounds like a great idea. Have you had success with this and is there a guide?

    • Cut what off exactly?

  • Chickened out and sent email to cancel lol

  • Stupid question but can you cut these? I only need 1.5m to run along the back of my computer desk

    • If can't just run it over lapping. Easy.

Yeah you can cut it in certain spots, they are marked on the strip.

      • I can’t see scissor marks but I read online you can cut where the copper strips are

    • +1

      Yes you can

  • Interesting, but sold out everywhere with 100km of me.

  • Not able to get delivery, it says its out of stock.

  • For the life of me I cannot get this to work with Google Home when linking it to the Grid Connect app.

It detects the light strip, then it asks me to allocate to a room, then it vanishes and then Google says it's not available, anyone having the same issue?

      • Ah okay, this makes more sense, thanks for that mate, appreciate the detailed reply to my question. Have a great day

It says on the box you need hub… Duh

  • These work over wifi with the k-connect hub which is part of the tap timer kit.

If you use the tuya app to control the tap timer these strips can be added by first opening the tuya app, add the light strip using your phone Bluetooth connection. Once this is added go to k-connect hub in the tuya app and choose add device, then choose already paired, if the hub is in range of the strip light it will be automatically added and then can be operated over wifi via the hub using tuya app, or home assistant if you have the home assistant setup.

I just cancelled my order of 3 at Underwood QLD if anyone is still looking.

  • I am a bit confused, I don't mind just using the grid connect app but it doesn't have an option for WiFi, if I select lighting, it immediately ask me for my WiFi credentials, and then it's won't pair when the device is flashing. Don't know how to get it to use Bluetooth?

      • ah thanks i will use smart life too already has some devices on it (the light bulb from harvery norman)

          • @xwx: yeah but on andorid playstore there are few similar named app i hope i get the real/good one haha

              • @xwx: thanks i have both installed since ages ago but only the first one blue logo has devices setup so i will keep that one

  • Can these be joined together?

  • I was kinda hoping there would be Home Assistant / ESPHome Bluetooth proxy support :) (there wasn't)

  • the lights light up great, but i cant set an automated schedule with the native app. Google Home on my phone sees it as offline, too. it looks like I'll have to become an IT expert to get it started, or fork out the money for an IR Hub.
