PROS: does free cloud recording (15 days) can integrate with HomeKit, takes AA batteries
CONS:No alarm zone setup, AI motion triggers aren't AI enough, just phillips head screws to open it up, weak receiver/chime unit
I ordered one as this seemed like a great price, I see you can use Homepods as your door bell, does this improve the weak receiver/chime unit issue you mention?
Also I few reviewers complain about the aspect ratio, seeing packages left are not in the viewing area, do you find this to be a problem?

Have had it for a long time now. It replaced a Eufy Doorbell. Overall I’m very happy with it.
Pros: VERY fast to load image, reliable, 2 way talk is way better than the laggy crap of the Eufy. HomeKit compatible (this is huge and works really really well!)
Cons. Image not as good as Eufy in both image quality and also in field of view as its landscape not portrait. Need to be close to the receiver unit otherwise can be temperamental connection.
Overall I’m super happy with it and for the price it’s a total steal. I paid $250 for it at release.

image quality and 3hr free recordings for doorbell is good enough for me
I was stuck making the same decision, the "pay Google more" for standard features bothered me to buy this over the Nest, I do think the Nest is better but Im just over Google charging microtransactions for simple features these days so trying to get away from their ecosystem, if this is a pain I guess worst case I can sell this for what I paid for if the price goes back up and get the Google Nest doorbell in a week

I think its referring to 6 seconds video that it sends to you with each trigger but when you click on it then you may be able to see longer video. But you may need power connection for that feature
