  • There warranty customer service was zero with 2 pairs of faulty ear buds I had no response from emails over many weeks / months . ended up in trash. I purchased from a non Australian store but it was a 1more authorized store .

    • 100% certain it was an authorised store? I.e. a lot of the "official" and "authorised" stores on AliExpress aren't infact official when you check the business license on the store page.

100% was authorized 1more store it was in Singapore.

Fortunately this is through Amazon and our consumer laws apply.

    • I had bluetooth issues with a pair of earbuds from them which I bought over Amazon and they sent me a new pair with no questions asked. Didn't need to send the faulty pair back either.

  • Paid about $105 for mine about a year ago Good value for the price, both for sound and reasonable /average anc Good mic for calls also Superior to the one on my sony 1000 xm 4 which are trash

    • Paid about $105 for mine

you paid $104.99 right? because that's the discount price of the higher model the Sonoflow (no SE).

the SE have been around $80 on sale.

    • Good mic? So should be okay for zoom meetings?

      • if you want good voice pick up you should reallly look at headphones with boom mic.

I got my bluetooth Zone Vibe 100 for around $60 from ebay sale https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/125571374416
but seems like they are out of stock now.

but if you want much better quality and low latency look at something like Razer barracuda X (2022) which comes with usb-c dongle for low latency high bandwidth audio (2 way mic + audio on bluetooth is always pretty terrible quality because not enough data bandwidth for 2 ways). not this price right now but usually drops to $129 ish on amazon. warning: only the (2022) version comes with usb-c dongle so be careful of that

lots of people talk bad and put down razer but they make decent products. in the case of this headset its durable, does everything properly has app with EQ and is lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods.

here is a conclusion which I agree with from soundguys: "For only $99 USD, the Razer Barracuda X (2022) is a great gaming headset. This headset won’t disappoint you with multiple connectivity options, a comfortable build, and pretty good sound. It has everything a multi-console gamer needs, and nothing is frustrating or finicky about it. It doesn’t have bells and whistles like RGB or virtual surround sound, which most people don’t really need (or want). If you don’t care about premium features and just want a utilitarian gaming headset, you should consider buying this."

        • that Vibe looks alright i will put on my ebay watchlist and see. i dont mind second hand

          • @CyberMurning:

            i dont mind second hand

just be careful there was a batch of Vibe 100's that had a firmware/battery issue. the headset wouldnt charge more than 50% and eventually not charge at all (at the time I bought I read a lot of these negative reviews). some people could be trying to get rid of their faulty headsets if you buy 2nd hand.

I got mine new from ebay and either I was lucky, or because I always declined firmware update the headset has charged fine. just recently though I updated firmware by accident (popup happens everytime you open app) and I have a funny issue where it sometimes disconnects randomly from bluetooth, then reconnects in 2 seconds. but this might be a issue with my smartwatch which is also paired to the same device i dunno maybe they share the same chip??

tbh razer wireless *(2022) is the better buy when $129 (it's been slightly lower $11X according to 3camel). Vibe 100 normal price is about $129 anyway.

            • @harshbdmmaster718: ok thanks for the warning.
in term of look the logi is better on my eyes, plus the boom mic can be folded nicely so i can technically wear it on the train etc without looking like a salesman hehe
              also the razer looks bulkier

              • @CyberMurning:

plus the boom mic can be folded nicely so i can technically wear it on the train etc without looking like a salesman hehe

yeah that's why I got it. can double as and look like bluetooth headphones.

btw the mic turns on when you extend it and auto mutes when you fold it up though. so lets say you want to take a call on the train, you need to fold it down and look funny 😀 otherwise if you just listen to music you will look fine.

                • @harshbdmmaster718: Nah I don't take calls on train. Too many ears may be listening. New question. If I get calls at work at random time how good is this logi? I mean when I put it on desk for few mins I imagine it will shut off? When someone call me I won't have time to turn on and connect it before caller hang up, correct? I think what I need is something that connected to work laptop all the time but wireless. Something from Jabra

                  • @CyberMurning:

I mean when I put it on desk for few mins I imagine it will shut off?

I just checked the app for you. there is a sleep setting you can set it to "never" so it stays connected. so I think you just have to put it on and press the action button to answer call.

the thing you need to be aware of is the short battery life. that's why I got it so cheap I think because battery life is 20 hours for listening, I think 12 hours for call (2 way audio). its one of the shortest battery life headphone I have ever had.
also I dunno this weird "disconnected, connected" bug happens sometimes. sometimes it doesnt happen at all, but sometimes happens a few times in a row. seems to not happen if you have constant audio playing for a long time, e.g. watching a movie.
I can't explain it other than firmware bug (shouldnt be bug on latest firmware) or I have too many other bluetooth devices connecting at the same time to my phone.

the thing is though for mic call quality, Vibe 100 will be better than the Sonoflow because of boom. I would consider it "good" compared to any other headphone mic quality without boom.

                    • @harshbdmmaster718: Hmm thanks You make me want to buy it haha even tough I have many headphones earphones already

                      • @CyberMurning: it also supports multipoint between 2 devices as well btw. like switch on and off to connect to nearest device being used.

multipoint would explain the random disconnects btw because it happens with my sony headphones when its trying to choose between devices. but thing is I have only ever paired the Vibe 100 with one device. so that shouldn't be the cause.

honestly its not that big an issue, if I hear "bluetooth disconnected" I just wait 2 seconds and it says "bluetooth connected" again and it keeps working and doesn't happen for another 30 minutes while I am watching/choosing youtube videos with stop start audio. but honestly it worked just fine for 1.5 years without updating firmware (using oldest factory firmware). I swear the disconnects started happening only recently after I updated it.

also some bad review mentions it only works with iphone. I have it paired with iphone but thats not true. one of the earliest Vibe 100 youtube review I watched used android/samsung and they demonstarted multipoint working perfectly between devices so I have no idea what that "only works with iphone" review is on about.

  • Don’t think they do ANC when corded. Maybe wrong. Overall excellent!

    • My old TaoTronics ones do.

    • SE version (this deal) has no 3.5mm connection among a few other differences compared to the non-SE.

      • Tonal balance differs a bit too due to the enclosure change, and will need to be EQ'd a bit differently. Potentially high value for those prepared to put the effort in though.

Good interim option if you need some ANC for public transport.

  • My non-SE SonoFlows have been great, had them since July.
Better than expected sound quality, especially when the EQ on my phone is dialled in.

  • Any idea what is the difference between original sonoflows and these se ones? If we assume SE as second edition, why is it cheaper than the original sonoflows

    • +1

SE is more of a cut down version as it doesn't include the aux port for a wired connection and no LDAC codec support.

      • Thanks. That explains the reduced price.

    • +1

Normally SE is special edition. ie missing bits.

      • Correct. Started by Apple
