I wear a SteelSeries Arctis 9 in video calls and on public transport to listen to music while commuting. Nobody has ever said anything to me.
@Karmond: They don't say anything but they still judge you. I have a weekly meeting with one of my service providers and i always look at his RGB gaming headphones but don't say anything.
My response to this would always be, "Ok fine buy me something more appropriate that just as good and I'll use that, otherwise, it doesn't obviously matter enough"

@IJustKnowStuff: The stealth gen 700 have one the best microphone btw… It makes you sound weighty instead of the usual nasally sound on other headsets. You can check RTINGS reviews on these headphones.
I would say the mic was on par or better than the Jabra Evolve series.
A deep dive would have sent you to headphones that are good for gaming.

Strange, it loads on my pc correctly but amazon app shows $239 even with restart of app
So the plot thickens, if I log into my Amazon prime account it ships from Japan and is $239.08 for black, 247.58 for white whilst logged out of my account it remains $189 and Amazon AU.
I have side by side photo as proof if anyone is interested in what appears to be targeted price increases for user accounts ( I had already been looking to buy this headset prior to the deal appearing here).

Recently did a deep dive for a new headset. Ended up ordering the HS80, not the Max version - whilst some newer features, the microphone went backwards (even with the firmware update, it doesn't seem to be as good). Problem is the original HS80 is somewhat scarce in stock it seems. The Razer BlackShark V2 2023 is said to have the best mic, but significantly more expensive, plus I use a headset to WFH, so don't really want to look like an airline pilot… Anyway, YMMV.
