  • shipping kills it

  • Most of my portable appliances use AAA. If only. :(

    • I had the opposite problem, I bought 4x18pk ($4 per pack) of AAA thinking they were AA :(
I have NOTHING that uses AAA, so I also bought AAA->AA adapters :)

Smug pompous git. I use eneloops for lots of things, but alkalines have their place, e.g. in remote controls, or numerous low-drain kids' toys. A pack of 40 might last a couple of years.

      • I take offence at the first 3 words, and I can say that after using other batteries in my remotes, i've just switched to the turnigys that were on special here a couple of months ago and they have been awesome (others were dying ever few months). At the price they were I don't think there's an excuse not to use a rechargeable these days.

Too late to edit or I'd change it to "preachy". Obviously I took offense too.

funny. better turn back on the sarcasm switch. a preempt to the standard eneloop interjection which runs much like a conversation about coffee in the OZB forums. all good manic - your words are fine and your tone (re) considered. i, for my part, should have included at least 1 exclamation mark!
