Yep, some later batches of the fans are having the issue due to bad bearings.
Good alternatives would be:
1) if you have no budget then arctic p12 pwm pst co, cooler master SickleFlow 120.
2) if you have more budget then noctua a12x25, cooler master mobius 120 (not the oc version that thing is crap), silent wing pro 4 or phanteks T30.Mine is having some resonance noise at round 1000-1100rpm.
Mine solution is to manually set this at 900rpm. With the pump set at 60%, this cools mine i7 13700k with almost no auditable noise even when running cinebench loops. Very satisfied.We have one here and no noise. I replaced the fans with cheap RGB ones and It cools the 5600X really nicely (was hitting max temp before install).
I moved the fans to the dell xps on my desk in an open chassis (cover off) and i cant hear them from 80cm away (I measured it) .I dont know what speed they are as stupid Dell bios dont allow me to set or view fan speed.
I have other AIO's (two corsairs) on other PC's and I think this has similar performance.
Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 releasing soon, might be an option to wait for.

Two things to consider when buying this one:
1) it comes with thicker radiator which might have some compatibility issues depending on your case;
2) the installation on intel side requires you to remove the ILM (the backplate that holds the CPU frame). This is somehow risky and difficult to install. Make sure you put the cpu in the mobo first and lean the board a bit lower to avoid CPU dropping or pins damaging.The pump head assembly is also much larger with the hoses coming out from the bottom. This may interfere with some M.2 heatsinks. It should be easy to fix on ATX motherboards but more complicated for other form factors especially if it involves multi-storey heatsinks and M.2 drives.
But yeah thicker radiator while good is a problem with fit especially with the current trend toward thicker fans.
Agree and I remember there is no way to orient the hoses in a different way. TBH reviews might be good in performance but then in AIO there aren’t that many new techs or magics. If you want better performance, you either:
1) make thick rad - lose compatibility;
2) make thick fan - lose compatibility;
3) increase pump speed or pressure - increase noise;
4) use water glycol fluids that has a freezer point more close to water - risky to perform in cold areas since the fluids could even be frozen during transportation;
5) create thinner miller vanes in the copper plate - easier to be blocked and cause leakage.
The above 5 points are the 5 main things impacting an AIO. IMO what a normal consumer should really consider when buying an AIO should be their warranty policy and leakage policy (after sales). These days AIOs degrades faster than the old days (some even have temp increased by more than 15 degree after 1 year heavy usage). Since most of the time you won’t be able to maintain the AIO by yourself, a good after sale should be what you after.
Have preordered this, date got pushed back a week. Had to get a cheap air cooler for my new build, which is actually keeping my CPU cool as heck (not overclocked). Excited for it otherwise!
bought one of these a few months ago - working well in my lowish wattage use case.
decent priceive been pleased with the performance of my slightly lower end deepcool lt720 se, but be warned that the fans are loud as profanity out of the box. adjusting the curves helps with this quite a bit but they're definitely no noctuas or similar.
is AIO better than air cooler like this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/832348 in terms of performance? AIO does look heaps better but not sure if it's worth 3 times the price.
The good AIOs will perform much better and much quieter than every air cooler
Better, but not 3 times the price better. In general, 360mm (or bigger) AIO > 280mm AIO >= 140mm dual tower air cooler > 240mm and 120mm AIO. 280mm AIO vs 140mm dual tower are comparable in cooling performance, with the AIO generally having a quieter noise profile from fans, but will also have pump noise. AIO below 280mm isn't really worth it over a good tower unless you really need the clearance (smaller case) or prefer the aesthetic.
Water will always handle 'thermal shock' better in the long run. And thats mostly what occurs in gaming scenes of heavy sporadic activity.
Had the 240 deepcool mystique on order for a few weeks now , eta's keep getting pushed back so might have to look at this deal instead :(
I have this in my living room pc and it's been fantastic. I originally purchased a Corsair H150i Elite but I had to return it because of a very annoying pump noise (pretty sure it was faulty).
Did you install the pump above the radiator? So the pump was highest point? Air bubbles might do that…
Does this one have a screen?
What do the pretty little pictures tell you?
I was referring to another post.
Had one before purchased on Amazon and it sometimes did cause strange noise. Had to refund it. Good look though
despite being RGB the little deepcool logo glows green. dont try and remove it, its made of glass….
Just remember that all CPU water cooling is pretty much pointless these days because overclocking is largely pointless.
A $50 cooler is all you need. However I do think they look a little nicer, but that extra $100 could be better spent on another component upgrade.That said I got one myself on last build… but probably shouldn't have.
Very good looking AIO cooler but there are some issues with the fans included, they make the audible humming noise around 1000rpm which is extremely annoying unless you ramp up the fan speed but it will make your PC run louder.
