  • This would be a break from lugging my massive flashlight around

  • I'm getting $30.99 what am I doing wrong?

    • it works fine as long as I don't let it open the AliExpress app.

    • you are choosing the "without battery" variant which has no discount.

  • +3

$18.95 AUD for me + tax = $AUD $21.74. Good deal at that price.

  • Should I get this for car emergency?

    • +2

Yes if your engine catches fire at night you can use this to get a better view

  • Colour temperature is cooler than I'd like, but definitely worth a punt for the price. Thanks OP.

Zeroair has a nice review of the SC13 for those who are interested.

  • I've tried to order 3 of these torch lights, where at check out the Pay Now total is AU$65.22, but when I make payment it charges my credit card $92.07, and when I go back to view the order it also changed the price to now show $92.07.

I tried doing the order 3 times on both PC and mobile web site and got overcharged every time. When cancelling the orders, one of their cancellation reasons is specifically if the seller has raised the price of the order, so that's the reason I selected each time I cancelled.

I didn't select the option to "Pay After Delivery" so that I can see what I get charged straight away.

    • Same here - after the purchase was completed, the amount charged to my CC was USD27.87 (instead of USD13.71). Cancelled and processing refund…

People have been seen different prices, so hard to tell exactly.

I suspect there might have been a bug in how the deal was applied. So the discount was only applied to the first item when charging you, even though it showed as applied to all items.

      There is other weirdness too.

For the OP deal, tax is about 10%, as expected. So $18.95 + 10% tax = $20.74.

I ordered one for $18.95 + $2.79 tax = $21.74 total. Which is $1 extra tax and 14.7229551% tax. (my paypal account was charged correctly)

      Your $65.22 is 3x $21.74.

But I can't find a combination of deal price for one, and then non deal price for the others that match up with any of the other prices people have seen.

But maybe something like the below.

      $92.07 - $21.74 = $70.33.

      14.7% of $70.33 = $10.35 "tax"

      $70.33 - $10.35 = $59.98

      $59.98 / 2 = $29.99 per torch before tax for torch 2 and 3.

      • Interesting observation on the tax. I've also noticed Aliexpress charging closer to 15% ~ 16% for the "10% GST" recently. I've not proceeded with numerous purchases becuase of this.

  • Thanks OP. Purchase complete.

  • I'm getting $39.16 for the battery variant. $33.5 without battery.

    Is this oos?

Edit: So weird. I kept trying and I got $18.95. $21.74 after tax. Bought.

Looked again and it's back to $39.16

    • How much was charged to your credit card?

      • $21.74

  • Mine arrived today i just tested it and omg its bright.

It ships with a bit of paper in between the battery and the negative terminal which you need to remove by untwisting the back cover. The instructions are an eye test which i cant read with my glasses on so good luck with that.
