    That is pretty expensive?

      • +8

What I am saying is for what it is, a CPU cooler, its expensive.
I got my be quiet! Pure Loop 360mm CPU Cooler for $100.

Plenty of Liquid cooler deals here:
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/Liquid%20CPU%20Cool…

Isn't the Ozbargain crowd frugal anymore?
No wonder Nvidia can overcharge us $2K-$3K for their top GPU.

Wow, who would have guessed that AIOs without a screen can be had for cheaper than one with one.

          It's a "luxury" feature.
Ozb is about getting stuff for cheaper than normal. Not everyone trying to save money on stuff is specifically trying to be as frugal as possible.

I think the 'frugal' badge went out the window years ago when this place was flooded with ps5 'deals' that were just basically saying it is back inn stock at rrp.

If you were being frugal wouldn't you get this instead? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/832348

@BROKENKEYBOARD: Liquid CPU Cooler are a bit better (but more maintenance), but not sure it is worth double the cost of air coolers.

          • +1

@BROKENKEYBOARD: Even if not frugal. I've had both CLC and now the above air cooler, and I'll go air cooler every time.

Performance is within a couple of degrees of the cheaper CLC, and you never have pump noise, evaporation, etc issues.

On the downside, those massive coolers don't look as neat in the case, and you need to remove the motherboard from the case to install them, and quite often to do anything nearby (like connecting fan headers, replacing ram).

            • @qwijibo: yes, I agree, I tried the Pure Loop 360mm at $100 and didn't think I got value for money.
Which is why I say $200 is a bit much.

Considering over places are selling this between $299 - $449 it is a bargain. Some people preferred to get higher quality gear than the cheapest they can find.

    • -3

It does a similar job. You are paying extra for the screen.

      • +1

        And?

        • It would be alright at $150.
At $200 there are better options.

          • @congo: yeah probably, but they don't have an LCD screen + it's still a good deal, what is your point here?

            • @tomlaf: My point is that this isn't a great deal.

              • +3

@congo: it is if you want the screen

              • -1

@congo: if you knew much about computers you'd know a quality aio with a screen like this one don't come cheap, its about $100 off of what other stores are selling

                • @tomlaf: Did you buy one?
Why is this one a better quality one?
It needs to be 50% off to be a bargain.
                  Also, don't make false assumptions.

    Ryujin

    watch out for Nintendu lawyers

  • Good price, but a bit too soon to replace my Strix LC :(

  • No more rgb version :(

Do you have it in white?

  • Is there an AIO like this but only designed for Intel socket 1700?
I hate fiddling around with the AM4+AM5+various intel ones when installing.
