Didnt get for 3 orders but 1 only

    • Only got one also, but I believe if you have two carts open with the offer applied, you can get both discounted if you order one after the other.

    Somehow got it. Thanks op.

prices for grocery in uber eats overinflated, after doing math, it comes to just free delivery comparing to regular shopping in supermarkets. no bargain. The best I could get is 2 x 3l rice bran oil + small item delivered for $40 when it was $20 in coles/woolies. Now it is $13 in Coles while still $18.5 in uber app + delivery + fees

    • Last time I ordered 23 x 1l cartons of long life milk. I think I ended up paying roughly $1 a carton compared to the $1.6 Colesworth were selling them for.

One of the few things I could find a decent enough use for the coupon.

YMMV depending on the items you are after, I can actually save $10 + items delivered to my door. Even more savings if I pay with discounted GC.

      Proof:
      Coles
      Coles on UberEats

    • You've got to buy the right stuff to milk this deal.

Regardless, free delivery alone on a $40 grocery order is a bargain… Unless you're saying you can get that elsewhere same price or cheaper?

Add 10% to Coles prices ($4 minimum) + Service fees ($4) and no option of getting on sale items, makes these discounts pretty much the only way Uber can get grocery purchases through them.

All the coles branded products are upped 10% on uber and with the uber charge its about 30% off with free delivery and cost of bags, but no specials and certain products are marked up heavily.

  • Funnily enough, I didn’t have a minimum spend despite it saying $40.

    • Nice! Might be a bug. Spend it quickly before they found out :D

  • I cant get the code

  • For anyone reading, this worked for me today with no minimum spend even though the terms said $40 minimum. So I ordered 2 separate orders of $20 and paid for delivery and service fee, about $9 a pop.

  • I should have 1 order left but the promo just disappeared from my account. Has this happened to anyone else? Not sure how to contact Uber for this.

    • Mine had an expiry date of late April, not June as stated here. You might have faced the same scenario.

    • they removed all the stores

      Update on this issue:
I contacted Uber Eats Support, they told me to place the $40+ grocery order. And when the order completed, they processed a $20 refund for me.

      • Thanks for this - I followed what you did and they honoured the $20

  • Be very careful if you order from somewhere with discounts on items. It was possible to get very cheap orders of $40 worth of groceries for ~$10 delivered. BUT if they start substituting items it screws up the discount and you pay full price for stuff that's discounted. So you can end up getting a lot less and paying $20+. I think it is best to cancel the order if they start substituting.

    • Happened to me - I submitted a claim and thankfully they ended up honouring the $20 (first CS refused it but I insisted and the second CS granted me the refund)

      • They just gave me the run around and refused to do anything about it. The $20 discount seems to have applied but because of the extra discount on the items I ordered (which were substituted for others, with no discount) it ended up being a lot more for less product. I don't think they really understood the issue. Useless and aggravating 'support'..

But also you can specify what you'd like them to do should an item is unavailable. In my case I asked them for refund, which they did and the total went under $40. Turned out the $20 off promo voided automatically since I didn't meet the min spend requirement. I insisted it was not my fault that the store didn't have an item they listed on the app.

          • @foxes28: In my case it was really weird. They were just about to finish shopping, and the app was showing the order total would be $9, and then they found the last item and all was fine. And suddenly once the driver picked it up it went to $22. I think the app was showing the order total was $38. Really quite confusing and deceptive. If I try this again I will only order 'safe' items and make sure to cancel the order if they start substituting.

I don't believe all these items are out of stock/unavailable either. I think it is incompetence/laziness. They picked up the wrong size item and even refused to refund that..
