    Seems good for the price.
I just bought a tent last week so no use for me but very good value particularly for the double.

  • That RRP though….
i would like to know if it ever actually sells for the "RRP"… Or is it permanently on some sort of "sale"

    • Anaconda, BCF, decathalon usually push most their products on some type of sale.
the RRP is always over priced compared to similar products on amazon.

only people who buy RRP would have to be desperate people needing the products or people who dont look at price tags.

Have a look - there's multiple stores (including OzTent offical) flogging for this price.
Snowy's is the best comparison imo and they're sold out at $329. Otherwise $400/500 elsewhere. Good deal, this is a solid brand as well.

This is a great deal. Picked up the double swag for a bargain. Will come in handy and can add a couple more campers to our setup.

  • Only neg is that it appears not to come with a bag.

    • …and weight and bulk if you're used to small tents.

    • It comes with a bag

      • Good news. Do you have one?

I picked one up yesterday. It comes in the bag straight out of the box! It looks like a good quality bag too with click straps to keep it compressed and secure.

No, says so on the manufacturers site

          • @dav3: Both Oztent and (the invariably next-to-useless) Anaconda website say "….bag available separately" but further searching thanks to your prompt turned up the Oztent package contents:
            1 x Swag
            1 x Fly
            1 x 50mm Mattress
4 x Long Guy Rope with Clip (Reflective)
            14 x Pegs/Stakes
1 x Orange Anodised Ridge Pole
1 x Full Hoop Pole Set
            1 x Zippered Carry Bag
            1 x Owner's Manual

Edit: woops, just saw G75's comment.

            • @Igaf: Upgraded bag is separate because the stock ones are generally crap

    • last line in advert says comes with bag…?

      • Both Anaconda and Oztent websites say available separately ($89 0n Oztent site), but dav reckons it has its own bag so fingers crossed. Picking up a double tomorrow, so will report back then.

For what it's worth I've never seen a swag go into a bag. Just strap it up and chuck it in the car.

          • @Hinee: Agree. Once out, it's always tough to get back in. It's easy to wrap a groundsheet around it for protection if necessary

Picked the double up today, have given it its first seasoning. Swag minus fly is back in the bag. It was all so neat when I undid the straps but magically increased in volume.

Heads up to other buyers who might not unpack before using it.The two fly poles and guy ropes shown in the Anaconda images and Oztent video are NOT included.

  • I was excited when I saw the double was selling for $179 - steal!
    https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/tents/swags/oz…

But my excitement cooled down when I watched a video and realised it's more of a tent-swag than a swag - what makes a swag useful for me is the 1 minute set up, usually I don't even bother pegging it down, great for quick stops but I have better gear when I'm planning to stay somewhere for more than a night.

It's a steal for what it is, but as you say it's not a super quick setup with the heavy duty fly. A one person job but it's open to the elements until you throw the fly over. The ridge pole creates some stability but I'd grap 4 more guy ropes and attach them to the end hoops if you're likely to encounter windy conditions or don't want to use the fly.
