don’t believe everything you see on tik tok ….
Disposable lithiums not so easily, pretty decent risk in trying.
Alkalines though usually get at least 3-5 cycles; just be aware of their high chance of leaking.
I have one set of AAA alkalines on their 19th 75% charge cycle.
Do you use a smart charger
Nope. I have an RC hobby charger and charge them in 2s on LiFe mode. Manually stopping them at 75% capacity.
@MasterScythe: What brand are batteries
@easternculture: 'Super cheap auto' bulk packs and Varta bulk packs mostly.
The ones about to hit their 20th cycle are energiser, but all my other energisers didnt last beyond 1 or 2 extra cycles.
Thanks OP
I love how these are advertised as “25 years shelf life”.
I hope that in 25 years we’re not dependent on disposable batteries.
25 years shelf life
Doomsday preppers are stocking up.
How are you hoping things are going to be powered then?
Batteries have a 'life'. Regardless of whether they're rechargeable or not. And it seems if things are rechargeable these days, the battery is built in. Once that battery reaches its end, the device more often than not, is no longer viable and will be thrown away. At least with replaceable batteries you can just keep going.
Also lithium batteries handle low and high temperatures better than other chemistries, so it's potentially a bit of the right tool for the job type thing. And some devices don't operate that well with a 1.2V NiMH battery either.
Camping is one.
Camping is one what??
@magic8ballgag: 'Also lithium batteries handle low and high temperatures better than other chemistries, so it's potentially a bit of the right tool for the job type thing."
@carrawa: Were you trying to clairfy what you meant?
If so, you failed.
@magic8ballgag: Then give up!
@carrawa: Give what up?
English, you, bad.
@magic8ballgag: Feel free to spank me!
Clocks for example will be around for a long tome or radios etc. Many of those have already been around 25 years. Batteries are cheaper than replacement or clocks have artistic sentimental value,
one pack only
I don't have a device worthy of these regularly $24.50 batteries!
one pack only, have feeling this is like the sim pin that you could only order 2, when it arrived was a note inside to give good amazon rating and could win a prize, think some of these deals are just that someone wants to build good feedback ….
Perfect for high altitude/subzero mountaineering headlamps. Can't think of anything else I'd use them for though.
25 years shelf life
Good thing that as I still have mine from 10 years ago…
Devices use more AAA or AA batteries these days?
Normally the opposite to which batteries you buy
Also here at Bunnings, $10, and stock around Melbourne aswell. Unless I'm missing something
Interesting. Amazon's are 25 year shelf life. Bunnings's are 20 years
Amazon warehouse have better shelves than those of Bunnings.
handy for things like multimeter in car that only gets used every few years or digital torque wrenches that don’t get used often.
Uh… normal primary batteries are totally fine for those applications, without paying the huge markup for lithium.
Until normal alkaline batteries leak and ruin what they’re in. NiMh or Lithium is the way.
OOS
that was fast, wasn't it.
These batteries didnt last long
That's what she said
You are allowed to purchase one pack only.
Don’t tell me what to do!
sold out
According to CCC they have actually gone up from eight to ten dollars.
For those who missed out, Bunnings have them for $10 (assuming they've price matched Amazon)
