The last time i claimed warranty on a kitchen tap, they just sent out a new one, had to pay a plumber to get it installed myself as it was outside the "cover for labour"
Any men should able to change a kitchen tap mixer, if there is no male in your family just ask your neighbour to do you a favor.
Easy job but not sure it's gender specific! :)
@reu: He didn't say it was. He just said any men should be able to do it. Call 100 plumbers and see how many women arrive. This will give you an indication of how appealing to women this kind of job is.
@Lps: Love to be able to say you've changed my mind but I still don't think you need a d* to do it. I don't use mine when I change a washer/mixer/o-ring/shower head. Please let me know if I'm doing it wrong🤔

Considering I just dropped $650 on a kitchen tap, Im grateful Caroma has a 20 year warranty 👍
unlike Mondella, who require taps to be taken back to Bunnings for a warranty claim, Caroma can assess on-site:
Caroma requires adequate access to Products, fittings and fixtures to undertake warranty repairs under this Caroma
Warranty.

Not the same brand but have found IKEA kitchen taps pretty good and their warranty is 10 years, they also cover upto $150 for labour to replace.
The silver powder coating on my Caroma bathroom tap is coming off, six months after installation. I purchased the tap two years ago.
Not sure it's worth the hassle replacing it, but worth everyone being aware of the quality.
why not make a warranty claim?
purchases from 1st October 2023:
- 20 years cover for PVD (Physical vapour desposition) product finish
- 20 years cover for Chrome product finish
- 10 years cover for all other product finishes
between 17th February 2020 and 30th September 2023:
- 5 years PVD Coating
- 1 year Non-PVD finishes
Tried to return a dorf mixer tap to Bunnings, but was rejected because it wasn't installed by a plumber.
Better check the warranty to see if you're covered if you want to install it yourself.
This Caroma Warranty shall be void for the following reasons:
- Products are not installed by a licensed plumber and/or electrician.
i returned an estilo (bunning's home brand i think) mixer. front desk asked why, and I showed broken handle and said spray button doesn't work anymore, and she refunded. you should try again at a different bunning.
Ridiculous, what next light bulbs being refused because you didnt pay a electrican to screw that in for you… bloody hell..
Returning a faulty kitchen tap would be a PITA - I don't know anyone who's done it. Is there any point having a long warranty?
