    Thanks ISP!

    • +1

No worries - I hope it does work this time and eBay doesn't change their mind :P

  • +3

    Discount cap…?

  • +1

Thanks OP. Good to see this back again.

  • +3

How do we know this one will actually work unlike the deals this month?- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/830533

    • +3

We wait and see. I assume it will work as it's most likely replacing our regular 1x 0% FVF promos.

  • +2

ill belive when i see it…..

  • +6

also what's the point of ebay plus now?

    • +5

      Street cred

      • Like the X/Twitter blue tick ?

        • The opposite :)

    • +2

just this deal alone pays off the annual fee each year, then x it by multiple times a year plus other benefits, the membership is well worth it

also majority here got the membership for $10, hard to complain about that

      • +4

Title says no eBay plus required … hence my comment

        • +3

They alternate between non-eBay Plus and eBay Plus. Sometimes both promos run alongside at the same time.

        • +1

ahhh sorry misunderstood what you were referring too

      • Not when it’s capped to $25 and a membership costs $49.

        • +2

          3 x $25 = $75
          3 x 50% off shipping = $30 - $45 (roughly $10-$15 saving each item sent)
          Total: $105 - $120
          - $49 membership
= $56 - $71 saving just on this deal if you sell items, multiply that by few times a year + all the other coupon savings when they stack on sale items, savings add up for $49 fee, well worth it

          • @RogueWolf: Again you don’t need ebay plus for this deal

          • +1

@RogueWolf: Ops I didn’t see it’s 3 x $25 - this isn’t as bad as the last deals. And you don’t even need eBay plus.

            Hopefully it actually happens.

  • +2

can we not upvote this until it actually goes live?

  • +2

this month (Feb) promo didnt go ahead at the end
hope the next month promo will be active…

  • +2

I will UpVote once I get this offer in my account!

    • Waiting for ebay to can this at the last minute…

  • +2

I been holding off selling a few things because of these offers. Thanks for sharing OP.

  • +1

    Seems to be targeted

Did you miss the bold wording at the very top of this post?

    • +1

Did you miss the bold wording at the very top of this post?

        • Reading is a handy skill.

Can confirm will come in useful.

  • +10

this sucks i need to sell a 1500 item…not willing to pay 200 in fees and lose it all. 25 covers nothing but low vaule items less than 100 or something

    • +7

Put it on Fraudbook Marketplace. No fees but you'll get $750 for it and then they won't even show up.

      • +3

So $750 for free, sounds great

        • +3

I just need your bank details and ooops i accidentally sent you $7500. Here's the screenshot. Please send me back the difference

          • +5

@0 0 0: I had a dude few days ago who did PayID on the spot ($950) and it wouldn’t come through. So he went to the ATM nearby and cashed out, then paid me in cash and told me when it clears just transfer it back to him, and I did just that few days after. Some trusting people out there, and then there’s some bad ones. I’ve personally never had a bad experience on marketplace and have sold >10k worth. Be safe out there with the scams.

            • @I Smell Pennies: Hope you had your UV light torch and checked for fake pineapples

      • +2

i have tried and just getting trolls and assholes message me, getting sick of people.

      • Haha true - and eBay my experience these days is the highest bidder won’t pay and you’ll have to relist 3 times.

        • +1

I've been watching ROG Ally's and this is completely true. I always lose the auction and the item gets relisted a few days later.

      • I keep getting buyers that sound very interested, but then like when it's time to show up they go cold turkey, not even reading the .essage

Happened 3 times now never had it before.

Anyone know what's going on? If so how TF is this benefitting them

    • Yes, it does suck.
I was lucky because I was able to sell a $1600 item,
during that 1 x 0% FVF offer in November 2023.

  • +9

I dont use eBay unless variable fee is $0.

    • K

    • I don’t wipe unless I take a shit

      • +1

        Username doesn't check out.

  • +1

thanks! i hope ebay won't cancel this time!

  • +2

Not again… thought we learnt our lesson from last time… dont post till it's live…

    • +5

As per the guidelines on OzBargain, anyone is free to post an upcoming deal as long as there are T&Cs. If the deal turns out to not be valid, the deal can be removed by our wonderful mods accordingly.

Edit: love the downvotes on this comment. I don't make the rules love <3

      • +1

        I appreciate the heads up.

      • +4

Although I don't vote till the deal is working, I do appreciate the early intel to be better prepared.

      • +1

Didn't downvote but I feel posts like these are just deceiving nowadays. Its a real shame cos they used to be legit.

        • But it’s working though? What is the problem?

  • +3

Maybe we should ban ebay posts until they are live ?

    • +2

… and then, if OP posts with the deal ‘live’ he/she will get
“Why didn’t you post this earlier? I just did a sale yesterday and coulda saved $$$! How inconsiderate of you!”

      • @StingyBritches love your username. But yes, they'll always be whinging for any reason they see fit.

  • +1

    about freaking time..
but seems eBay plus is rather pointless nowadays.

    • +2

IMHO eBay is becoming less and less relevant. My ebay plus ends in a month and I don't think I'll renew it.

  • +3

    Hmm, only $25.

  • So do you have to have sold something before or just have an account?

    • +1

      Just have an account.

      • Sweet thanks

  • +1

Holding my upvote until this actually goes live hiyaaaa

  • Anything for store sellers? Its so bad that probably have 10 ebay accounts and cancel the store subscription

  • +2

have to wait an extra day cause of the leap year ahha

  • +2

Only 25? What happened to 0% variable fees?

  • +2

    25 dollar discount cap blows

    • Does this work lol

  • +4

$25 discount is pathetic. but may suit some who are selling lower value items..

    • What’s the current fee at? 10%?

      So $250 item cap?

      • Yeah about that. Some higher some lower.

      • +1

The fee is about 13%, of the item and the postage too.

  • +11

BTW $25 covers items up to ~$185.
After that you pay fees on top of the first $185

    • good stuff, helps those who failed in maths

  • +2

These deals are getting worse and worse, better give me 1 without cap then 3 with cap. So approx max of your sale price of the item must be $175, otherwise everything over you'll be charged 13-14% per dollar.

    • Haven’t sold anything for a while. Fees are 14% now?!

      • (12.18182% + 27c) + 10% GST on whatever the final fee is, if you want specifics 👍
Well that’s according to a sale I made last night <$4000.

  • so list 3 items at 184.36!

  • So confirmed no such deal for February?

  • +2

Activation link looks to be live now. I tried it yesterday and got an error. Tried it a second ago and it accepted, with a start date of 01/03/2024 12:00:00 AM. Thanks as always OP.

I'm not sure what the rationale was from eBay to include this for non eBay Plus members. I'm definitely not sour about it or anything, the more that can use it the merrier. It just seems to me like eBay have been working hard to de-incentivise eBay Plus lately.

    • @mboy, thank you for letting us know. Works for me too. Can't wait to list some items in 2 days :P

  • Does anyone know if this is only for listings created WITHIN the month of March?
I ask because I have some current listings now but am willing to eat the fees but want the $0 fees on my new listings that I create.

    • I'm confused because of this section:

The discount will automatically apply to all Eligible Sellers and Eligible Items during the Promotion Period

Is this inferring that it will automatically apply to all active listings and the $0 promo is applied to the first 3 listings that are sold?
Trying to optimise the discount lol

E: Think I answered my own question, it says "New Listings Only" in the activation link.

      • +3

Correct. It will apply to the first 3 items that you sell that were listed in March (that is, where the listing was created between 01/03/2024 and 31/03/2024).

It'll even apply to items that are sold after 31/03/2024, provided that the item was listed in March, you still have promo slots left (ie. the 3 haven't been used yet) and the listing hasn't renewed.

        • Cheers!

  • activated.

  • -1

I just listed my items. Is there a way to see if the item is under promo? Cannot see from Seller Hub.

    • +1

      it's not Active until tomorrow

    • +1

Please not list them until tomorrow otherwise the promotion is not going to apply. It starts tomorrow.

    • -1

Thank you guys. Thought today is 1st March didn't realise this year's Feb has 29 days..

      • +1

No worries. Take an upvote, not sure why everyone negging you. Some people genuinely forget.

  • Unfortunately, this promotional offer is not available to you…………………sad…..

    • +1

Does any of these apply to you?

      “Eligible Sellers” means sellers who:
      do not have a current eBay store subscription;
have Australia or New Zealand as their registered address on eBay.com.au; and
However, sellers whose eBay accounts are temporarily or indefinitely suspended, restricted or made inactive, or whose seller performance falls to Below Standard, whether prior to or during the Promotion Period, are not eligible for this Promotion.

  • I don't like when eBay doesn't show the final value fee percent on the product until after its sold. During product listing based on the product category eBay should show the applicable % of final value fee on the product.
I understand that calculating the final $ can be complicated due to extensive flexibility offered for sale price but showing % should be super easy.

  • +2

For anyone who activated both offers:
The first promotional offer to be activated will be used first

    • +1

Where is two offer? Can only see 3xfvf capped at $25
