Very weird they're still running those promo considering they're killing the program at end of March. Also most restaurants I used my yums lately didn't apply the $50 off at first (until I reminded them…)
So earn in feb, spend in march

I got a bunch of 1000 and 500s and got the dreaded account termination notice for violating terms and conditions.

Waste of my time with these folks.

Every single booking I've made has been a "1000 Yums" promo. I haven't had this happen to me..

        • Lucky lucky, i got the email a couple of months after I started doing it. Others reported getting the emails too.

Thefork is dead in a month, barely 10 restaurants in Melbourne will accept your yums. Used to be a good website, now just glad to see it put out of its misery.

      • And even if you book one of the 10 Melbourne restaurants, there’s a good chance they’ll cancel your booking anyway (happened to me twice, so I gave up).

If you're in Sydney. The bowls at Central Park is an easy place to use them up. They accept anytime of the day.

  • Meat and wine co are good to use them up.

But the guys at circular Quay now Castlereagh St are pretty snooty about it.

after thefork is gone in march, what similar programs are available to use instead?

Eatclub is the best alternative in my option.
There are no reward points (yet) but instead the app offers a percentage off the bill, sometimes including drinks, which is something the fork never offered. The discounts often range between 5-50% off, and sometimes there are free items.

Liven is the other app option which a cashback loyalty system. So this is a long term game for discounts.

Entertainment book has been fairly average in my experience. Mostly offering 2 for 1 on very select dishes or main menu items.

Next level ozbargainers will stack these offerings when restaurants are availble through multiple of the avenues above.

    • OpenTable gives you points for booking through them which you can redeem on Amazon gift cards. Nowhere near as competitive as TheFork with their regular bonus points promo codes though.

  • The Last Supper ($50) with The Fork tonight!

    Seeya.

I definitely got value out of them.

      • Me too. Got a lot of value out of them in Europe (Yum credits and also restaurant discounts) and we had a good choice of venues accepting Yums here. Sad to see therm go.
