?Samsung 65" Q95T QLED Smart 4K TV (2020) $999 Delivered @ Samsung Store
Q95T is out of stock. I missed it by about half an hour on the day.
2020 flagship vs 2023 entry level.
I'd choose the flagship
This because there's stock and is $175.00 cheaper.
What's the catch here? How is a 65" 4k tv going for that price - even factoring in the edu discount?
No catch, it's just an entry level TV from a year ago approaching the end of its sales life cycle.
It’s not the best feature wise plus new model probably due:
Every brand has it's cheap average TVs. This is Samsung's. Rtings is rating it pretty low
No picture in picture…
Sometimes Chromecast with GG tv says no power. Turning off and on again and fine.
Very glossy like mirror can see myself when watching…
Sometimes slow when navigating with remote…
i have this one
Very glossy like mirror can see myself when watching…
Oh yuck! I can't stand this.. It's major distraction.
When I see glimpse of me, It's hard not to stop and admire.
Netflix: Are you still watching?
Me: yeah the reflection
When I see glimpse of me, It's hard not to stop and admire.
especially when watching p0rn ???
Sometimes Chromecast with GG tv says no power. Turning off and on again and fine.
Wouldn't Chromecast w GGTV require a separate power supply? Ie. it detects whether it's connected to a device instead of a charger, and doesn't switch on.
hmm nope i connect that to one of the usb from tv - less cables tangling around
like i said, sometimes works sometimes need to cycle 1x.
no biggie
Cool. Maybe it doesn't really check device vs charger, but just if it gets the right current, and your TV supplies enough. Or maybe it's a different Chromecast w GTV, from what I've briefly seen in search.
@pizzaguy: Yeah one of this tv USB has different label I forgot what but probably more current that's the one I use.
Need to replace a 3-4 year old Hisense with a better TV this year.
Main factor for me would be ability to have 1440p / 120hz/ VRR for gaming and a "decent enough" picture <2k
Can not play on my current loungeroom TV after playing on my monitor for a few months.
yeah my hisense did not support a lot of format watching from usb, went to the samsung one and plays smoothly. menu for subs better adjustments too
Doubt you will find that for < 2k
Depends on the game and size of the TV.
While there a TVs that support VVR I am going to say for MOST serious gamers a monitor is better. (not talking about playing as a family).
I have a decent Sony TV, great for TV even with a good refresh, but for games I need to focus it's just too large, so I always game on a smaller monitor.
Great for those who aren't concerned about the technical stuff however the Q95T was a much better buy.

It doesn't get very bright so I would avoid placing it in a bright room.
OOS
just checked,. 75" OOS but 65" still in stock
Just purchased 65 but I think 75 was still in stock when I checked.
I'm just stuck in a loop of new sign in to your samsung account - you're new to the edu store, repeat
Same here :). Let me know if you resolve it
not sure how to get a edu.au account?
Yes
Need an edu email. On a positive if you buy a million dollars of discounted goods you will have offset the cost of raising a child.
The first 65 inch LCD cost $21k USD and was released in 2005.
Yes I googled it and have no life.
My advice, to anyone considering purchasing a tv from Samsung Australia is don’t do it. The worse customer experience of my life.
Is this the cheapest 4K 65" TV out there at the moment?
Couldn't care less about features, brand, or image quality, just 4K 65". Can't decide whether to jump on this or wait for a cheaper deal.
Few options around this $$$ range if none of that matters:
$549 EKO 65’’ 4K Ultra HD TV with webOS Hub
$699 SONIQ 65" 4K UHD LED LCD DTV With HDR
$750 Kogan 65" QLED 4K WebOS Smart TV - W94Q
$799 FFalcon 65" U63 4K UHD Smart TV [2023]
Same price in the gov portal but I had to search by product code
