      Should become the new standard for PC size tbh. You can cool almost anything in here.

      • Should become the new standard for PC size tbh.

        I wish.

        Like when "backbones" appeared mid-2000.

  • Wasn't there a few issues with fit and finish in the initial "first look/review"? Wonder if they've resolved those issues.

    There are so many A4 ITX cases in the market I still don’t know why people still buying A4H2O - a case that just has so many drawbacks and weird design:
    1. The QC and material used from the Dongguan Lianli is nothing related to the premium old Taiwan Lianli.
    2. The case’s IO being on the left side essentially dictates that the case must be placed on the right side of the user.
    3. Compared to almost every A4 ITX case, this case makes an “innovative” way of placing the GPU - inverted GPU in a case which people gonna put high performance card:
    *Cheap graphics cards with vertically arranged heat pipes are basically doomed. Although u could argue that people using this case won’t use cheap GPU;
    *Horizontal heat pipe arrangement means that the fins are vertically oriented, which will definitely accumulate heat in the case and stack downwards. Learning some high school physics would know that hot air rises so all the hot air generated from the GPU flows into the GPU again;
    *that means unless you are using blower cards like FE you would have thermal issue.
    4. “Amazing” PSU protection cage - high performance ITX meaning high watts = high pressure for the PSU = fan speeding up and PSU heating up. Then they somehow wanna cage it and restrict the air flow.
    5. Despite having plenty of space, it can only support one 2.5 inch drive at the bottom. Meanwhile the ancient Dan case A4 SFX can hold two (you know why? Cuz they know the heat from the GPU gonna heat up the drives and the drives gonna block more air floating out.)
    6. “Spectacular” frame for radiator - with limited space in a A4 structure, they still wanna add a frame for it. Guess they really want to bent or deform ur aio pipes.

    • So what do you recommend instead?
      Like the above is nice but what’s the alternative.

        For the A4 layout, if the size is not an issue, Lianli Q58 is a better product. If the size is indeed an issue, Formd T1 is what I would recommend.

        • Formd T1 is great, the only issue is the wait as it's always out of stock.

          • @Alva10: I think they are catching up now. Just checked the website they are rolling out continuously.

        • Despite GPU airflow point raised above, thermals still arent as good on either the Q58 or Terra. Mainly aesthetic benefits. I researched deeply, very deeply; considered those 2 cases but landed on the A4 H20 - and very happy with it (running 7600 and asus dual 4070). Horses for courses, though….

          Formd t1 is the other best option, but I couldnt justify the extra cost for my first ever build. The day will likely come though!! ;-)

            @gazer: Like i mentioned it really depends on the GPU you are putting into. 4070 only draws like 200W so it won’t be that noticeable. I tried a 3090 inside and checked the thermal image showing heat was stuck at the bottom. It would’ve been better if they didn’t reverse the GPU so that heat can just flow to the top easily.
            Another issue I encountered was the first point I mentioned that nowadays Lianli quality isn’t the old Lianli anymore. The side panels are too thin that after I carried it around for couple of times they already started bending so I can’t fully close them. You may not have this issue if it is just something sitting on the desk forever.

            • @nelladream: yup agree, fair play. yeh the 40 series are generally pretty efficient and most coolers are overkill. might even see more efficiency gains in the 50 series…

  • damn that was a great price for the A4 H20 - functionally better case than the Terra, IHMO - as for looks….well that's personal.
