DiskFerret - Effectively Manage Disk Space Usage - 100% Off

70

DiskFerret analyzes the files in any hard drive, network share, or folder, producing charts and info to show you exactly where and how your disk space is being used! With DiskFerret, you'll be able to quickly identify the largest folders and files, oldest files, and duplicate files, as well as the most egregious disk-munching users on your network. And it's not just for show, either — DiskFerret gives you everything that you need to delete these files, or ZIP them up for archiving!

This is a must - I have installed it and already found files to remove and freed up more space….

Is there a reason you wrote 100% off instead of Free?

I've been using a free utility called ShowMan for years. Very simple to use, and uses very few resources. Shows a pie chart that allows you to drill down to find the largest files\folders.

Always thought windirstat did a great job - simple, free and fast.

    • Ditto, an essential always freeware tool

      • I'll raise your ditto by 1 more dit. WinDirStat pretty straightforward and handy. CCleaner another.

        • Triple ditto. It's open source software too!

  • Check.

  • Good site thanks for the find.

One difference between this and windirstat and TreeSizeFree (both of which I use) is that it seems to scan for duplicate files also. On slow computers however, this may run fairly slow.

    • thank you for raising this point of distinction meroveus.
