    Same, even for a 1+kg roast, i find a normal fork is enough to hold it while slicing, its also easier to pull out.

      I would suspect that a carving fork would make things easier all things being equal but if you haven’t had one your whole life and you’ve learned to adapt your technique without one, there’s no need to add yet another implement to your life.

      I am intimidated by people who handle meat in such large quantities that they need one though.
