      • Thankyou. Grabbed myself a mini cable. Beats the $23 I spent at officeworks not long ago for a micro one!
Also got a 10m one too.
Any chance I could get rewards points added to my shoppingsquare account?

        • All good. Reflected on my account. Thanks.

      • Any chance of a decent displayport->hdmi converter? Something cable-like as I don't want a brick attached to my laptop.

  • with delivery- too easy

  • needed a couple of these , nice post

  • Would there be any problems running a 10m HDMI from my desktop to my tv across the room?

    • +7

…only if your room is 15m across! ;)

  • +1

Thanks, got a 2m one. Seems the most bang for buck but then again, everyone's needs are different!

    • i thought the same.. got 3. good deal op.

  • are they backward compatible? I mean v1.3

  • Thanks got the 1m in case my monitor's one dies.

Any deal on the 1.5m cable, preferably like last time for $1.95?

  • +2

Funny, the advert I See on this page is for a $128 HDMI cable from Bing Lee..

  • Any difference between it and this one on ebay?:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Premium-6FT-2M-HDMI-Cable-Gold-Pl…

I've notice that there's no mention of 3D on the one I linked.

    • +1

Not 28AWG, ie. thinner cable. Otherwise as long as it meets v1.4 specs it should do 3D as well.

      • Does 28AWG make any difference besides the fact that it's thinner?

      • To be fair that listing doesn't mention the cable thickness.

But at such short lengths it hardly matters.

  • Cheers, bought another 2m and a mini 2m for my DSLR. As always a pleasure.

  • Perhaps a silly question - I can use this, not utilising the 3d?

    • correct

Paid full price two days ago. First Ipad 3 obsoleted and now this! I am having a bad Ozbargain day ;(

    • +1

OMG, I know! I bought four of these just yesterday. I'm so sad.

      • The shop should have a return policy, surely…?

    • -3

The iPad 3 is not obsolete. Apple merely released an iPad Mini for the 7-8" market and NOT to replace the iPad Mini. If anything, the iPad Mini has last-gen hardware.

      • +1

They also released the iPad 4 with an updated processor, so really the "New iPad" as they termed it is no longer the newest.

  • thanks, got couple of those. Nice deal

  • Picked one up - nice!

  • always need to update these cables, thanks for your post

  • +2

Bought one, needed one for my burning ainol.

  • Cheers! Great Deal! Just bought ten 1m cables. Now both living areas can be cable tidy…

  • Does high speed HDMI mean the picture gets to my TV faster? I want the highest speed possible because I don't like waiting for my shows.

  • Thanks, I got up a couple.
Missed out on the Aldi special the other day.

  • Got a 5m cable from SS last time it was on sale. I use it to connect my HTPC to projector. Really good cable for the price.

  • If anyone's interested, I'll sell them an RCA composite yellow video cable (v0.9 beta) for $1.94 - it's SUPER DUPER high speed - speed of light, actually. PS - I hear that the next revision of HDMI will be v1.5 - warp speed. It will envelope the cable in a warp bubble allowing space to move around it. It will also be 4D, allowing the viewer to move backwards or forward through time.

    • will it let you travel into space? … maybe visit uranus?

      • I'm not sure but you'll be able to pick one up for no more than $2, and the HDMI standards beaureu inform us that warp 2 is the fastest you'll ever need, in fact it is impossible to go faster than that. The Chinese children who make them tell us this is so.

Seems like a good deal, but how does this compare to my $800 Monster diamond plated HDMI cable from Harvey Norman?

  • So.. dumb question but I have a mac(book pro) - can I use this cable to connect to a TV?

    • Only dumb answers, Yes.

  • No free shipping on the 10m :( Damn its weight!

  • +1

    Wow, fast delivery..

I already got mine, thanks danilochan

  • +1

    Great - got them, thanks.
Sure beats this - what a joke! http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/home%20theatre/tv-accessories…

  • The 10 meter link is showing up as $19.80..

Edit so are the mini & micros. Guess they've been Ozbagained! :(

  • Not msmary; her sister; which 1 would I need for the Nikon D3200 DSLR?

    Thanks!

  • I received my 10m cable but not the 2m mini one (despite saying sent)

    • +1

Enquired with seller. The 2m mini HDMI are direct from supplier from HK. Hence longer wait/

      • me 2, still waiting them. Asked questions to seller (in eBay) but no response.

      • Received mine Monday.

  • received mine today

  • I bought at 24/Oct and still waiting…..

  • received mine! Nice deal+1

  • i bought a 4m one. works with my ps3, however when trying to hook up my laptop, doesn't detect anything at all. older shorter hdmi cable works but this one doesnt. not sure if its a version issue or if the cable is faulty or if it just doesnt like my laptop at all :'(

    • Laptops can be a bitch to connect sometimes. If you can unplug the cable and put your other one in and and works, then you put the other one in and it doesn't work….all without touching anything else then yes I would say it's the cable. Otherwise, try resetting your laptop or making sure video rendering is running through the discreet card.

  • What does it mean by HDMI "with" Ethernet? How does that work?

    • you can use your ethernet cable to transfer hdmi signal. Its mainly for professional installations or using hdmi over long distances, but more so its just a small change to the standard. check the hdmi wiki for more info. For the average Joe on the street, it doesnt mean any less or more better.
