The Cobram Estate Ultra Premium is a good bargain. I've tried the Hojiblanca before and it was excellent with fresh sourdough. At this price I'm going to try the other varietals too.
At that price point i wouldnt buy cobram - spanish olive oils are better - Rincon de la Subbetica - Hojiblanca
Where are you getting that for $20/L?
Can't find it anywhere local online (sans some expired ones), and foreign prices are showing closer to $90/L.
i didnt say it was $20/lt what im saying is i would have plenty of other options at that price point - i def would not buy cobram at that price.
Name one then.
Any Spanish oils at that price point are "export quality" junk that is likely cut with veg oils, and shipped in steaming containers for up to months.
Have you tried the Cobram premium stuff? Local premiums is going to taste a lot better than export rubbish, and be a lot more ecological.
And if you're not going premium, than Red Island or something else local is going to be a lot better value than export rubbish still.

first of all there is such thing as refrigerated containers and second of all it only takes a month probably less if you can do a deal with the shipping line.
Look you can support Cobram at that price point i wont its not worth it! the taste is not great in my opinion.

Seems like cobram don't do a 1 ltr anymore so they can keep the price up on the 500 & 750 ml. I stopped buying it a while back because of it's ridiculous price .
