    Happy Birthday Carl.
So as a present to me you want to make me pay a likely higher than usual price through a third party. That seems unusual.

    • Is it cheaper to go in store and pay full price for 2?

      • +7

        Just looked.
        $10.95 in store.
$14 on Uber, plus delivery fee and service fee.
I don't think Carl would really be happy to have his birthday recognised with this.

        • Delivery is free with Uber One. Just $0.98 service fee.

          Subtotal
          $14.00
          Delivery
          $5.99
          Delivery discount
          -$5.99
          Saving with Uber One
          Service Fee
          $0.98

          Total $14.98

With uber one it still works out decent value for 2 burgers delivered.

        • Including delivery and service fees it turns out I will be paying $12.50 for each burger (vs 10.95 in store) at least for my location.

      • +1

likeky. as delivery services naturally tend to be dearer

'pay a likely higher than usual price through a third party'

      How is this unusual lol

      • +2

not sure they are reacting to it being 'unusual'.

More that it is a pseudo deal

      • +1

It's an unusual way to celebrate a birthday. Almost like asking me to pay to come to your party.

        • +1

Hmm, i always charged $10/head for my bday parties at timezone back in the day. The parents worked out it was cheaper to let their kids come to my party and get fed than finding a babysitter.

For the lover of freezing cold burgers!

    • -2

Yeah I don't know why they brought this crap, much prefer in and out.

      • rather vocal here over yet another fast food company

        • -1

I guess you haven't seen the lines over in the US when a new In and Out opens.

No one cares about Carl's jr.

      • -2

The burgers are better at hungry jacks

  • +1

    F*&k Carl

    • +3

      Why?

  • +1

    CAAAARLLLLLLL

  • +6

Why the hell wouldn't you just make this available instore? How bizarre

  • is it targeted ? i see 30% off instead of the BOGOF.

  • +2

I've tried a few Carl's restaurants and struggle to see how they stay in business.

Ridiculously slow (20 mins average in store everytime (even when only 2 other in store customers)), then the food is nearly always warm at best and often cold.

I don't go any more, but who is with such poor offerings.

  • Had some today, decent deal delivered but for some reason about 10% of both burger buns were stale and squashed.

Much better than the last time I tried them
