Would be nice if these prices actually stuck around.

Don't tell the orange clown or he'll tariff them.

      • +6

Lol talk about living rent free.

Wtf has trump got to do with this Australian Macca's deal?

He's not applying tarrifs to American exports… But surely you knew that.

        • +2

Alot of people have no idea how Tariffs work. They just go to popular media and random Tik toks to get their information.

          • +3

@nobro25: To be fair, neither does the POTUS … reciprocal?! economic benefit?

    Soft Serve the best

    • +1

I wish australia have a lot more variety on mcd soft serve favour. had amazing taste experience in mcd HK when tasting Hokkaido strawberry favour and in Shenzhen mcd for hokey pokey gold flavour. they have chocolate already at many mcd as standard taste and yes still cheaper than here even only 50cents

      • I imagine competition in their hospitality industry could be highly intense at that kind of population density and city planning.

I am impressed their Sausage & Egg Muffins always delivered warm and soft, juicy and bouncy patty. Still remember it today.

      • just be thankful if the soft serve machine is working…

These should be the normal prices

Nothing quite like a 50c soft serve and a $2 apple pie on a late night Maccas run.

    • +3

Ah yes, the classic (ice) creampie on those late night runs.

When is that elusive twin twist going to be available?

    • +4

Never, it seems. Always wanted to try it, everytime I go it's "not available". Hell, 50% of the time even if you manage to order chocolate soft serve in the app, they end up telling you, "Sorry, chocolate is not available, is vanilla ok?"

Alas, my dreams of trying the twist go unfulfilled.

      • +2

The twist is not that good and its not a twist. Just half of each flavour.

        • +1

Well, that's lame, quite the misnomer then it seems.

          Cheers for the info.

        • +1

If that’s true the photo is a lie. My dreams will be shattered.

        • Yep can confirm its disappointment

It's not an upcoming product. It's at select stores which have the soft serve machine which can do it.

I'm a fan of it if I happen to be a near a store that has it. In Melb, a couple I know of that have it are Flemington on the main road, and Malvern East. There are a couple of others, I think, but can't remember off the top of my head, those two are the ones I get the most chances to buy from.
        It's not very common.

The "quality of the twist" is also very dependent who makes it. Those who properly loop The soft serve as it comes down it twists "properly". But I've had more than a few regardless of flavour just smoosh the soft serve straight down so it does stay as a half-half down the middle, which doesn't taste as nice. Those with childhood memories of using the twist at Smorgy's (or maybe it was Sizzler or Crown) will know what I'm talking about lol.

      • I remember having it in South East Asia as a kid and liking it (as commented below is just half of each that's dispensed together from the machine). Can't imagine it's that difficult and should be an option available all year round?

  • Frozen drinks back to a normal price not $5.10

what i dont get about maccas is $2 for a hamburger but a cheeseburger is $4.60 like $2.60 for a piece of cheese, just buy a hamburger and add cheese ,rip off merchants, for a mcchicken i just buya pattie for $2.60,im not paying $5 xtra for a bun with lettuce n mayo

    • +2

That's the whole point of the value menu. if you like cheeseburgers you more often than not will pay extra for the cheeseburger, because most can afford the $4.60 if pushed. But if you really can't afford anything more, you'll take the hamburger. And if he/she is resourceful he/she will bring along a slice of processed cheese.

      • +2

You can also get multiple cheeseburgers for cheap by buying a cheeseburger with extra cheese and hamburgers to put them on

        • Post this as a deal.

      • -1

Is the cheeseburger using processed cheese though? I hate the cheap processed cheese every poor pleb family has to eat but maccas burgers dont taste bad, I feel like theyre using better quality cheese. Like Subway cheese or something

  • What happened to original 30c soft service?

  • +3

Hamburger is always 2$ at least in Victoria

    • Same in WA, has been $2 for at least a 18 months.

    • Tassie too, in 2022 I bought a few for lunch before buying a car. Three $2 coins.

  • +2

F the man I'm getting ten hamburgers and bringing my own cheese

  • +2

The smart mcvalue meal is pretty good value, $7 two cheeseburgers, small fries small drink.

    • +7

Consider that it used to be two chicken and cheese..

Source: my cholesterol levels last year.

    • You can choose a sundae for the 2nd item. Even better.

  • Weren't apple pie $1.50?

    • Yh but they've crept up in price since those days.

    • Yeah I believe they used to be $3 or $3.5 before they lowered it to $2 a few months ago

  • +4

This has been the price for a while now at least for the soft serve and Hamburger as far as I know. They did increase the price of soft serve considerable but changed tack after the backlash I guess

    • +1

Yesterday ordered Cone at counter - showed $1.50 on register. Staff member called Manager.
Told to put through on Loose Change Menu: 50c!

HAMBURGERS USED TO BE $1 PRE-COVID, COST OF LIVING CRISIS IS REAL ITS GONE UP BY 100%

  • Have been buying the Biscoff McPops for the past 4 weeks at $1.5 each so the prices haven’t changed in recent weeks. They can be addictive. Must eat them same day as they become slightly drier the next day (still edible but not as light and fluffy). You can order them from the drive through window after midnight despite the app saying that they are not available at that time.

  • +1

I wish I could order a medium cup worth of soft serve and pay 4 x $0.50 for it.

  • What the McPop? Any good?
