whats the cheapest way to do this?

  • Are the requirements around amex business cards beings used for business expenses? Or can they be used as a normal credit card for everyday expenses?

    • I had this card and used it for everyday expenses

      • Did they ask you for annual turnover of $75k evidence?

    • Was wondering too. Can just buy anything you want with it? Ie. clothes, rent etc.

Having just applied and being approved for this card over the last couple of weeks:

Have applied for a number of Business cards from other banks and AMEX's application and approval time was by far the quickest and most painless.

One thing to note, this is not a Credit Card and has no pre set spending limit. You need to work your way up to a decent support level of spend. Don't expect to be able to make a large purchase straight away for example.

No pre-set spending limit: No pre-set spending limit does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors, including current spending patterns, your payment history, credit records, and financial resources known to us.

However if you do need to make a large purchase, you can call them to request increase the amount for a period of time.

Finally, there is referral points available so maybe OP or MOD can add the referral link to this post? - https://www.americanexpress.com/en-au/referral

New American Express Card Members only

Having a personal Amex will invalidate the eligibility for new business card bonuses

    • thanks for pointing it out, very critical caveat

  • sorry but if this is a silly question, but why the need for a business credit card when it comes to earning points - isn't it the same to pay if on a personal card then reimburse yourself from the business? As long as theres an invoice it should be ok right?
