Budget at $100~ for a rain jacket?
I think he's playing sarcasm.
Might buy it considering the rainy summer we are having…
Is this their version on the Uniqlo Blocktech?
Seems like it ☺️ cant say I have tried the blocktech on though.
Almost half price.

There were some sizes left when comment was posted. Even now can see some sizes available in different colours.
Anyone spotted something like this, but in red anywhere?
Karrimor from ozsale. The best budget rain jacket
French giant Decathlon have a large range of hiking trail running and sailing waterproof jackets. I looked at Kathmandu and everywhere and finally chose this one as best value for my travels.

If you are travelling, Decathlon is even cheaper in Malaysia, Taiwan and many other countries… check prices online for your destination.
The Kathmandu is a better deal. It has a waterproofing/breathability rating of 10K/10K, which is good. The Decathalon has 5k/5k. Surely this is worth the extra for most people?
One has a high-tech and lighter fabric. The other has side vents and a phone pocket.
I needed a roomy fit that could work as a top layer over the top of a light puffy jacket.
I tried on loads of jackets and ultimately chose the most comfortable one that didn’t feel like cling wrap against my skin. And I was able to buy two Decathlon jackets for the price of one from Kathmandu.
Wearing two of those Decathlon jackets at the same time might get you to 10k waterproofing, but the breathability will be terrible! 😊
Kathmandu jackets are always ‘on sale’
for $10 more better getting the Trailhead. Has side vents and rating of 15k/15k

That's actually pretty impressive. I paid ~$300 for a 20k/20k. I don't mind paying extra for 3 layer.and the Patagonia torrentshell is the best value 3 layer ($220ish), but this is pretty good for most people.
just bought the trailhead, haven't used it yet, but very lightweight
One of the best budget rain jackets I’ve ever owned.
