Want your kids to use their brains rather than mindlessly running around shooting everyone? Portal 2 is a game that will engage you in problem solving and a few headaches. Satisfying if you can get through the game without any walkthroughs! Deal ends 12 January.

Haha, I just finished The Entropy Centre, your comment made me think of it again… would recommend playing it, if you haven't already.
It's good, not quite as good as Portal 2, though clearly heavily inspired by it.Total recall yourself
So true Maybe time for a revisit
10/10
I wait 2-3 years between replays hoping to forget but nothing beats that first playthrough.
I have a Dell OptiPlex 7070 Micro, what are the chances of a computer lik that running portal 2 without any issues?
Edit: just found this so nevermind 😞
Graphics: Video card must be 128 MB or more and with support for Pixel Shader 2.0b (ATI Radeon X800 or higher / NVIDIA GeForce 7600 or higher / Intel HD Graphics 2000 or higher)With the 9th gen cpu? Pretty darn good. You're blowing the 'intel hd 2000' out of the water.
I did not know that the onboard graphics would be better than what was listed as the minimum requirements. Thank you for letting me know. No issues with overheating with a little PC like that? I mean when I use a 3D slicer for 3D printing on the PC it sounds like it's going to take off.
She'll be loud, but fine.
@MasterScythe: One more question if you don't mind:
My processor is 2.20GHz, the requirement is 2GHz, does this matter? (I don't actually know what this measure refers to).@Lizard Spock: So you're faster, Yep.
And it's still a lot of overhead anyway, because CPU's from a few generations ago do less IPC (Instructions per clock); so your 2.2Ghz can do more for each ghz than the generations before it.
You really don't need to sorry about "overheating" a PC these days, especially if you are just running it as it came and haven't been tinkering.
They have inbuilt thermal protections that even if all your cooling failed, it would shutdown before any damage was done.
that pc has Intel Uhd graphics what are you on..
I was curious since I have one too so looking at gameplay on youtube, the UHD 630 (the igpu thats in this chip) seems to get around 50-70 fps at low settings FHD.
I’ve got the 7060 Micro that’s rocking the desktop i7 8700 and I’ve been super impressed! It’s been able to push 1440p high at a stable 60fps in the co op mode for me
Thanks OP. Bundle with Portal 1 for additional $0.73
I only just saw this post.
I bought Portal 2 on it's own.
Now I see portal 1 here https://store.steampowered.com/app/400/Portal/ for the same price $1.45)Alternative deal
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/234/Portal_Bundle/ upgrade for $1.09 (after having just bought Portal 2 on its own.
Reminds me of EB Games advertising the Cube Edition at release. "A unique, individually numbered box" that was literally a Dymo printed label slapped on diagonally. The rubiks cube was good though.
it's so complex and rewarding that I am sure I can play it and enjoy thoroughly all over again
Wow I remember paying $20 for this back in 2011.
$20 well spent
Coop is pretty fun on this if you can wrangle a mate to play. But yeah, Valve are star developers. Wish they'd make more games.
My brother has purchased Portal 2 via Steam and was interested in doing multiplayer with me, but he uses a Mac, and it seems that the 32 bit software won't run on Macs these days.
I was watching a Portal video on Youtube and my kid wanted to buy the game.
He's up to test chamber 16 now, fingers crossed.
Portal 2 is the most beautiful art that humans have ever made
For science. You Monster.
Aperture Science:
We do what we must
Because we can
Isn’t this compatible with Mac OS too?
Portal: Revolution came out today
The Portal Mod you've been waiting for. Delve into a new story with original characters, spanning over 8 hours of gameplay and featuring over 40 new challenging test chambers which make use of new mechanics.
Wow, did not know about this and I consider myself a Portal fan (I feel ashamed)
I still have Portal Reloaded to play too.
Valve should just let fans do a Portal 3, and let the gun shoot the gels too.
Come on now, we all know Valve can't count to 3…
There's a few good free mods out there- here's another one: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1255980/Portal_Reloaded/
Someone is also doing a Doctor Who mod as well.
Just once, I'd like to see the Portal song on Rage. They play Star Trekkin over and over, but I've never seen any gaming songs.
Highest rated game on Steam and one of the greatest games ever made. The game has workshop support which includes co op maps, giving you so many more hours. The co op is so perfectly done too.
Does anyone know similar game for Ps5? Thanks
Not PS5, but "the witness", it's a PS4 game.
The Talos Principle 2

Dammit!! 🤣
Thanks OP
Portal 3 hurt my brain too much
This is a "kids game" now? Especially after Glados' story…?
I think I'm about ready for my 15th play through 😁. My kids already love it but I would love to pay for it again

"a few headaches"
just a few! lmfao :)
Highly recommend the Portal 2 VR mod - surprised it didn’t make me sick! If you find it does then try turning off 6DoF in the config file.
Looks to be expired.
Must have ended 11th as I also tried just now and $14.50.
Dang
They need to invent a way to erase experiences, so I can enjoy this series with fresh eyes again. So good.
