I bought this a week ago and it’s terrible it make took good but it absolutely garbage it didn’t even survive 30 mins before it snapped in half

Well that doesn't fill me with confidence

    • It says rated to 55KG, assume if you stick to the spec it should be a-ok.

Translation "I installed it on plasterboard using plastic lugs"

There is no way on earth it "snapped in half"

I bought this and an Airtasker helped me to wall mount my TVs. He told like Crest from Bunnings is the better product.

    • I have the Crest slim versions at my house. I can confirm they are great.

    • What's his contact?

    • Thanks for this. Will be looking to switch out my current wall mount bracket with a slimmer one, so will take a look at crest. Anyone else with one that might have a photo of the gap? Or recommend any other slim ones? My power mount is recessed

The bracket posted is not heavy-duty, especially the small one. Look how tiny the wall bracket fixed to the wall is - you can't spread the distribution of weight. The specifications are also vague and the VESA measurements are absent. I definitely wouldn't put an +$2000 TV on the $22 bracket. Spend more and get more.

I just bought a fixed Crest 37-90 inch mount that is rated at 120kg and it's solid. It has a lot more metal in the one-piece bracket that attaches to the wall, including metal that runs down the middle. It sits 26 mm from the wall, which to me is important because I want it to sit flat against the wall. The brackets with tilt and motion sit much further off the wall at around 70mm (or a lot more), which in my opinion makes the TV look heavy and is a terrible look. If connecting cables are an issue with a fixed bracket, do it before you hang the TV.

Yeah Crest is better than Philips. Vogels is probably the best and also sold at Big W. Ezymount is another good quality brand, sold at TGG. My work uses both for commercial installs.

      • How do you rate the mounts from Selby?

        • I've heard Selby are good but never used them

  • i'll be in the market for a wall mount soon so interested in these comments. TCL 75" C845 on a stud wall. Unsure whether to get low profile or one that allows for easier insertion of cables.

I went with the Crest 37-90 from Big W, as per my comment above, for the same TV. The TCL is thicker than your average TV because of the subwoofer (works great by the way). Because of the added girth, I went slim line because it looks terrible when the TV sits far off the wall.
