Picked up both the Chicken Salt and the Flamin’ Chicken Salt from my local butcher a few months ago after a mate raved about it.

Their chicken salt is on par with the best of the best - something I haven’t been able to find in supermarkets and I wasn’t prepared to buy in bulk online.

The normal Chicken Salt is the bright yellow stuff and tastes like what the old school fish and chip shops use. It’s brilliant.

I prefer the Flamin’ Chicken Salt though. It doesn’t have too much of a kick but I’ve been adding it to veggies, steaks, chips and it’s become a bit of an addiction. They’ve run consistent 10% off promotions but this is the first time I’ve seen a higher discount advertised. No idea of expiration as their social media doesn’t say.

          Have they proven anything bad about MSG?
          Wasn’t it all based off some reporter making an op-ed about feeling bad and blaming it on MSG?

            @NuttyGoodness: The MSG hate is based on lies.

            • @furiousgeorge: Yep. That’s why it tastes so good.

              I use it on my cooking. Even scrambled eggs with MSG is a game changer.

            • @furiousgeorge: Something funky still, otherwise why hide it on the label?

              Flavour Enhancer (621) lol

              • +4

                @Jessie Ryder: Hi Jesse

                We do not hide the fact we use MSG, that is a huge reason why our chicken salt is so good

                Flavour Enhancer 621 is what we have to list it as, as it’s the offical ingredient we use
