I dunno! I've only played older versions - a few of my friends play this game and like it a lot, so I posted it (and bought it too!)
It's a different game.
You can see Civ 4 as being a refinement of Civ 3, in that 3 introduces culture, but 4 makes it better.
Similarly 6 introduces districts and adjacencies - as such it plays differently to any previous Civ.no it is not
Agree. Civ 6 has too many options / is too complex. Just becomes a burden to make decisions.
Once you get used to it, it's ok. For a casual player however, none of the decisions feel impactful. If you build this district here, or that one there, it's all very…much of a muchness.
It's not better than Civ 1.
