    I think you're mistaking this for the S5 II
    The S5 IIX with a kit lens has not been $2850 since it released.
    I've been watching it very closely since announcement.
    Only the S5 IIX without a kit lens was below 3k

          @ShrewdBargin: I don’t know why either considering valid question from beginner. To answer your question, yes would suit your purpose. May be a bit of an overkill if you are not into serious video since the standard s5 II is $300 cheaper and would suit as well. Recommend the sigma 70mm and 105mm arts lens for macro. More here:

    This is superior for videos is what I’ve learned from my research. A bit bulkier, but the viewfinder makes a big difference in bright light conditions when the rear screen might not cut it.
