Ecovacs DEEBOT T20 OMNI Robotic Vacuum (RRP $1799) $1438 + Delivery @ The Good Guys Commercial (Membership Required)

80

Comparable to the Roborock q revo which I bit the bullet on for 1595 on the current boxing day deal on Amazon.. has the same features.. self cleaning and drying mops, carpet detection with mop lift, self emptying but does not have scheduled recharging ..As a plus it has a camera for obstacle avoidance, has a bit more power than a Q revo (5500Pa vs 6000 Pa) , has two brushes and the water used to rinse the mops is warmed before use.. Its cheaper than the Q revo .. in case anyone is interested in one of these and has been holding on ..

If the post is lacking what the rules state just go ahead and delete it .. please do not whinge

  • Looks like @loststock had already posted this deal before me.. its back again .. not a new deal then.. long running

  • Would rather the q revo over any ecovacs. Current ecovacs (T10) is rubbish is comparison to my old s5. As a vacuum it works fine, but the software/mapping is horrid.

  • Can I use vouchers at Good Guys Commerical?

    • no

    • You ask for the quote to pay in store amd then you can use your vouchers

  • I have the T8 AIVI and the Omni X1 Plus. The mapping software is a lot better on the T8. It is very close to the actual house plan.

X1 mapping is crap. It is no where close to resembling the house floor plan. It roams around the house searching for the dock to charge, or to empty the dust bin, rather than take the shortest path. Often stuck somewhere around the house because it can’t find its way back to the dock. Sometimes it would run out of battery from roaming around a 1 meter radius repeating “returning to charge.”

My X1 around 6 months old had Off-the-floor sensor issue and was fixed and returned under warranty. But was never the same and we just put up with minor hiccups. Few weeks ago it stopped working. It would leave the dock, travel about half a meter and stuck on the spot while the vac is on and brushed spinning, and won’t return to the dock. Reset after reset did jack.
It is now on the way back to Ecovacs service centre.

I might have been one of the unlucky one and got a dud X1.

The Ecovacs support has been helpful. Although sometime can be repetitive in their troubleshooting process. For example, they asked for the video of the vac stuck on the spot, which was already provided in previous email. Beside that, everything have been OK.

Recently picked up a Roborock S8. The mapping software is night and day compare to Ecovacs. Missus noticed how good and clean the S8 in vacuum and mopping.
