  • Which DC input issues do you refer to sir?

Not a great unit IMO. It's relatively cheap, but even so, has some key flaws.

800 cycles and 14.8V internal means it doesn't use LiFePO4 batteries. Fine for occasional use, but not great for heavier use.

No max charge current is listed, but based on the charge times listed, it's very low. Perhaps 2.5A. Which makes it much less useful - especially if charging from solar.

There are also inconsistencies in the Wh listed.

    • Yes I am the same on this one.
It's cheap but I don't like the idea of that many Li-Ion batteries sitting in the hot car - and the reported DC charging issues somewhat negate the point of it

  • How long will this power up a 72l portable fridge/freezer

    • What are the specs of the freezer?

        Input Voltage

        12v | 24v | 240v

Amp Draw set at 3°C Fridge (32°C ambient and 13.2V)

        1 - 1.3Ah

        • And that's why portable power sources like this are normally advertised in Ah… not Wh (which looks like a more impressive number as its higher).

          20Ah is tiny.

If it's quoting 1.3Ah draw (probably more), and this battery bank is quoting 20Ah (probably a bit less), you'll get a maximum of 12 hours out of it (assuming 1.5Ah draw on a power supply with 18Ah available). On a hotter/windier day and opening the fridge every now and again using it, it'll be less again. If you want to run a fridge for at least a whole weekend day and night, get a much bigger power supply.

          • @UFO: Thanks getting 120ah lithium battery, but was thinking if two of these wpuld do the job instead

As someone who bought this… its great when you want to charge your phone but are too lazy to conect to an outlet or one is too far away or at camp. It also kept our food unspoiled after the storm because we could get the fridge back to temp again ~3hrs (added bonus for us but its obviously not a longterm solution).

We take the fun wherever we want with this. Charge it once a week on average at 800 cycles thats 15 years of solid usage.

I wouldn't say its a serious emergency backup unit tho since in that function it lasts only a few hrs, but as a convience its been a lifesaver

I bought this a month or so ago and the PD port died within a week. Going to return and find a decent LiFePo4. Any recommendations for a similar sized unit?
